  • Effects include the ability to destroy 1 Memento monster you control.
  • Effect when destroyed or sent to grave.
  • Their unique effects (self-summon, disruption, protection, fusion summon, ...).

Each effect of monsters of the same name can only be used once/turn.

Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand or GY) by shuffling 5 other "Memento" monsters with different names from your hand and/or GY into the Deck/Extra Deck. While you control no other monsters, this card can attack all monsters your opponent controls, once each. Once per turn, if your opponent activates a card or effect (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon 1 "Memento" monster from your hand or GY.

The main monster in Memento's main deck is Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation . To summon this monster, you need to shuffle 5 Memento monsters from your hand/grave to the main deck/extra deck. From the way this monster is summoned, you can imagine that this is a clan of cards that can search a lot or fill the grave very quickly.

If this card is Fusion Summoned: You can destroy 1 "Memento" monster in your hand or face-up field, and if you do, add up to 2 "Memento" monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand. If this Fusion Summoned card is destroyed: You can Special Summon 1 Level 6 or lower "Memento" monster from your GY.

Regarding the extra deck, Memento currently has 2 fusion monsters (one of which is Mementotlan ). These monsters require summoning materials, which are Menento monsters. Memento does not have any restrictions on extra decks, so you can add monsters outside the archetype to serve the deck's combos.

You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Angwitch" once per turn.

Mementotlan Angwitch (DARK, Spellcaster, level 3)

(1) If Angwitch is Normal/Special Summoned, you can add 1 Memento monster from your Deck to your hand, except Angwitch .

Basic Searcher.

(2) During your Main Phase, you can target 1 lower level 2 Memento monster from the Graveyard, destroy 1 Memento monster on your field, and special summon the target monster.

Lower chance of reviving a level 2 Memento (target).

Ability to destroy 1 Memento (no target).

You must destroy it to revive it, both effects are calculated to occur at the same time.

Basic Searcher with effects when summoned, priority given to normal summons. Play 3, of course.

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can discard 1 "Memento" card, then target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; destroy it. During your Main Phase: You can destroy 1 "Memento" monster you control, and if you do, Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Memento" monster from your Deck. You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Dark Blade" once per turn.

Mementotlan Dark Blade (DARK, Warrior, level 4)

(1) If this monster is normal/special summoned, you can discard 1 Memento card from your hand (cost), then target 1 spell/trap on your opponent's field, destroying that card.

An effect that can help you shoot enemy spells/traps.

You can also use this effect to help you throw 1 Memento card from your hand to the grave when Dark Blade activates the effect (cost cannot be negated).

Your opponent can turn over cards targeted by Dark Blade and use their effects. Either way, you can hook 1 Infinite Impermanence (can target Dark Blade immediately after) or 1 strong spell/trap card of the opponent, which will also reduce the burden of the combo when going later.

If you can go first, you can special summon Dark Blade during your opponent's turn and create an additional disruption for the strategy.

(2) During your Main Phase, you can destroy 1 of your Memento monsters, and special summon 1 level 3 or lower Memento monster from your deck.

You must destroy it to summon it from the deck, both effects are considered to occur at the same time.

The level limit is within Angwitch's range, making Dark Blade one of the most important monsters in strategy.

Priority for normal summon, 6 Angwitch , play 3.

Mementotlan Tatsunootoshigo (Starter, extender, plus grave resources, very important, play 3)

If you do not control any face-up monsters, other than "Memento" monsters: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. During your Main Phase: You can destroy 1 "Memento" monster you control, and send any number of "Memento" monster(s) (with different names) from your Deck to the GY whose total Levels are less than or equal to the destroyed monster's original Level. You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Tatsunootoshigo" once per turn.

Mementotlan Tatsunootoshigo (EARTH, Beast, level 5)

(1) If you do not have any face-up monsters on the field, except Memento, you can activate this effect and special summon this monster from your hand.

Tatsunootoshigo is an extender of the archetype, the summoning conditions are not difficult.

(2) During your Main Phase, you can destroy 1 Memento monster on your field, send as many Memento monsters (with different names) from your deck as you want so that the total level is less than or equal to the monster's original level. has been destroyed.

An effect that allows you to send up to 3 Memento monsters from your deck, is that too many...

As an extender that you can always special summon when the field is empty or when there is a Memento monster on the field, both effects can always be used because Tatsunootoshigo itself is also a target in the combo.

Play 3.

During your opponent's Main Phase, if you control "Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation" (Quick Effect): You can discard this card, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; take control of it until the End Phase. During your Main Phase: You can destroy 1 "Memento" monster you control, and if you do, add 1 "Memento" card from your Deck to your hand, except "Mementotlan Mace". You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Mace" once per turn.

Mementotlan Mace (LIGHT, Fairy, level 1)

(1) During your opponent's Main Phase, if you control Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation , you can discard this card from your hand (cost) and target 1 face-up monster of your opponent, taking control of that monster. that animal. This is a quick effect.

As a trap hand that provides additional support for Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation during your opponent's turn, your boss becomes even stronger. The effect allows you to take control of enemy monsters and is also a hand trap, which is also unique.

(2) During your Main Phase, you can destroy 1 Memento monster on your field, add 1 Memento card from your Deck to your hand (except Mace ).

Also a searcher but less prioritized than Angwitch .

Angwitch can only take 1 Memento monster from the deck, but it's a +1 effect, you don't lose anything.

Although Mace allows you to search both monster/spell/trap decks, you also need to destroy one of your own Memento monsters. +0 effect, not considered weak but not suitable for early combo use.

Play 1, not the target for a normal summon, you can get Mace onto the field very easily in the middle of a combo.

Mementotlan Ghattic (Combo piece, restock, play 1)

  • ATK:

  • DEF:

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 "Memento" card in your GY, except "Mementotlan Ghattic"; add it to your hand. If this card is sent to the GY by a "Memento" monster's effect: You can Special Summon this card. You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Ghattic" once per turn.

Mementotlan Ghattic (DARK, Fiend, level 2)

(1) If this card is Normal/Special Summoned, you can target and take 1 Memento card (monster/spell/trap) from the Graveyard to the field (except Ghattic ).

Return effect.

(2) If this monster is sent to the Graveyard by the effect of a Memento monster, you can special summon this monster.

An extender is summoned by a trigger effect when entering the grave. When this monster is summoned to the field again, Ghattic can also restore 1 additional Memento card from the grave.

Both effects are very good and effective during combos, but just by playing one, Ghattic will often be sent from the deck to the grave in combos with Tatsunootoshigo .

Mementotlan Goblin (Combo piece, adds grave resources, protects, plays 1)

DARK 1
Mementotlan Goblin
  • ATK:

  • 400

  • DEF:

  • 400

During the Main Phase, if you control "Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation" (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; for the rest of this turn, your opponent cannot target "Memento" monsters you control with card effects. During your Main Phase: You can destroy 1 "Memento" monster you control, and if you do, send up to 2 "Memento" cards with different names from each other from your Deck to the GY, except "Mementotlan Goblin". You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Goblin" once per turn.

Mementotlan Goblin (DARK, Fiend, level 1)

(1) During the Main Phase, if you control Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation , you can discard this card (cost), until the end of this turn, your opponent cannot target your Memento monster with effects. This is a quick effect.

The effect allows your main monster along with your other Memento monsters to not be targeted, not bad. But you need to note that you can only use this effect when you control the main monster Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation on the field.

(2) During your Main Phase, you can destroy 1 of your Memento monsters and send up to 2 Menento cards (with different names) from your Deck to the Graveyard (except Goblins ).

Similar to Tatsunootoshigo 's effect and can also send spells/traps to the grave.

The grave resource bonus effect is quite good, and the protection effect can only be used after you complete the combo. Just play 1 because you have many ways to use this monster during combos.

If you have 3 or more "Memento" monsters with different names in your GY, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can only Special Summon "Mementotlan-Horned Dragon" once per turn this way. If this card on the field is destroyed by card effect: You can target 3 face-up cards on the field, including a "Memento" card you control; destroy them. You can only use this effect of "Mementotlan-Horned Dragon" once per turn.

Mementotlan-Horned Dragon (DARK, Dragon, level 8)

(1) If you have 3 or more Memento monsters with different names in your Graveyard, you can special summon this monster from your hand (no chaining).

Another extender of the deck, but you need to set up the grave first for this card.

(2) If this card on the field is destroyed by an effect, you can target exactly 3 face-up cards on the field (at least 1 of your Memento cards) and destroy them.

Card destruction effects can trigger when Horned Dragon is destroyed by the effect. The trigger condition does not require Horned Dragon to be destroyed by Memento's effect and only requires you to target at least 1 of your Memento cards, and the remaining 2 targets are 2 free face-up cards. Horned Dragon is a card that can create mutations in many situations.

Playing 1, you need to set up a lot of things to use this monster.

Finally, there is our king Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation ( Combined Creation ).

This is a level 11 EARTH Wyrm monster with an ATK/DEF stat of 5000.

Cannot be normally summoned/set. This monster can only be special summoned (from the hand/grave) by re-shuffling 5 other Memento monsters (with different names) from the grave/hand back to the deck/extra deck.

(1) While you do not control any other monster, this monster has the ability to attack all of your opponent's monsters, each monster once.

With the summoning condition forcing you to give up everything you have worked hard to build, a monster with superior ATK that can punch all enemy monsters is a worthy reward.

5000 ATK is the highest original ATK of a monster in the current game!

(2) If your opponent activates a card or effect, once per turn, you can special summon 1 Memento monster from your hand or Graveyard.

This effect mainly allows you to set up both Combine Creation and Mace or Goblin at the same time (summon Angwitch and search them). You can also use this effect to summon Dark Blade again and destroy 1 spell/trap during your opponent's turn. There's so much more to do with effects...

In general, if a main monster doesn't have any continuous effect to protect itself, I don't think it's very strong, but the ability to search for items to protect itself during the opponent's turn is also good. is a way…

Combine Creation also has no limit on summoning per turn and the effect that activates once per turn only applies to each copy of this card. If you have another Combine Creation on the field, you can use that effect again. one more time. However, first you need to find a way to throw 5 more Memento monsters from the deck to the grave.

2 "Memento" monsters Any monster destroyed by battle with your "Memento" monster is banished. You can only use each of the following effects of "Mementotlan Twin Dragon" once per turn.

Here are the Fusion Mementotlan monsters to briefly summarize this archetype.

Mementotlan Twin Dragon (Fusion, LIGHT, Thunder, level 7)

Ingredients are 2 Memento monsters.

(1) Monsters destroyed by Memento monsters in battle are banned.

Support effects depend on the situation.

(2) If this monster is fusion summoned, you can destroy 1 monster in your hand or face-up on your field, adding up to 2 Memento monsters with different names from your Deck to your hand.

Effect helps you get the 2 necessary monsters (usually Combine Creation and Horned Dragon ) to reach the ending steps of the combo. When fusion summoned during the opponent's turn, you can add Mace or Goblin to your hand to support Combine Creation on your field.

You can use this effect and destroy the Twin Dragon itself to trigger effect (3) in the grave.

(3) If this monster is fusion summoned and destroyed, you can special summon 1 lower level 6 Memento monster from the Graveyard.

Adds a resurrection effect to the archetype, you can take advantage of it to summon Memento monsters that haven't had a chance to activate the effect this turn.

An extremely easy to summon fusion monster that belongs to the archetype and has everything to connect with combos. Very importantly, you can easily return this monster to the extra deck with other Memento cards, playing 2.

Mementotlan Fusion

During the Main Phase: Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or field as material, including a "Memento" monster. If a monster(s) in your possession was destroyed by card effect this turn, you can also shuffle "Memento" monsters from your GY into the Deck as material. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY; destroy 1 monster you control, and if you do, add 1 "Memento" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Fusion" once per turn.

Mementotlan Fusion is a quick-play spell that supports fusion summoning for clans.

    (1) During the Main Phase, this card is activated with the same effect as a normal Polymerization card, using monsters in your hand or field as fusion material, but must contain at least 1 Memento monster. .

If during this turn, your monster is destroyed by a card effect, you can also shuffle Memento monsters from the grave to the deck, as fusion materials.

A basic Fusion spell card and a quick-play spell. You can easily flip Mementotlan Fusion during your opponent's turn to summon Twin Dragon and dance during their turn.

Mementotlan Fusion only requires you to use at least 1 Memento monster in the material, the remaining monsters are free and do not require you to fusion summon a Memento monster from the extra deck.

Take advantage of this to be able to summon generic fusion monsters such as Mudragon of the Swamp , Garura, Wings of the Resonant Life or even Guardian Chimera .

Using this card with Mace 's take control effect makes this card no different from Super Polymerization .

In addition, the ability to allow you to return Memento monsters from the grave to the deck as fusion materials helps you save materials from your hand/field, and also helps you meet the requirements of Mementotlan Fusion ( at least 1 Memento monster is a fusion material).

This is also a way to help you restore resources in your deck like Twin Dragon to continue the combo.

    (2) During your Main Phase, you can banish this card from the Graveyard (cost), destroy 1 of your monsters, and add 1 Memento spell/trap from your Deck to your hand.

So the deck's searchers have fully appeared ( Angwitch , Mace , and Mementotlan Fusion ). Like the effects of most other Memento cards, Mementotlan Fusion also requires you to destroy a monster to use. can use the remaining effects.

The difference here is that this card does not require you to destroy exactly 1 Memento monster, even 1 of your face-down monsters. This effect can sometimes help you resolve conflicts with Tatsunootoshigo (this monster cannot be self-summoned if you have a face-up monster that is not Memento).

And you can also search for Mementotlan Fusion using effect (2) of Mementotlan Fusion !

In the archetype, it is very easy for you to drag the entire deck to the grave and bring them back to the field/hand. Mementotlan Fusion is a card you can use multiple times in a duel, both effects of this card are equally important.

Play 2 (or 3), 1 to summon fusion every turn, 1 to use grave effects and leave forever.

During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Memento" monster you control; if it attacks a Defense Position monster this turn, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Bone Party" once per turn.

Another searcher for the clan is Mementotlan Bone Party .

      (1) You can destroy 1 Memento monster in your hand or face-up on the field, take from your Deck 1 Memento monster with a different name and special summon that monster to defense position or add that monster to your hand.

This is a quick-play spell, so you can use it in the Draw Phase to avoid some hand traps like Droll & Lock Bird or Effect Veiler .

This card can also protect the active effect of Dark Blade or Angwitch when targeted by Infinite Impermanence or Effect Veiler can be successfully resolved.

      (2) During your Main Phase, you can banish this card from the grave (cost) and target 1 Memento monster you control. That monster, when attacking your opponent's defensive monster, can inflict damage. differential damage.

The effect is quite situation dependent.

The idea is to let Combine Creation attack all enemy monsters and cause damage, but it's not that easy.

Searcher is easy to play, play 3, of course.

If your "Memento" monster battles, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. If a monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target 1 of those monsters; Special Summon 1 "Memento" monster with a lower Level from your hand or GY. You can only use this effect of "Mementomictlan" once per turn. Once per turn, during your End Phase: You can target 1 "Memento" Spell/Trap in your GY; Set it.

Mementomictlan is the clan's environmental spell card.

        (1) If your Memento monster battles, your opponent will not be able to activate spell/trap cards until the end of the Damage Step.

Tried but not much. The effect can be used to chain quick effects while your Memento monster battles.

        (2) If your monster is destroyed by battle or card effect, you can target 1 of them (with level) and special summon 1 Memento monster with a lower level than the target from your hand/grave.

This is the strongest effect this card brings.

This effect can compensate for the resources of Memento monsters that were destroyed when using their effects, you will have more opportunities to revive Memento monsters from the grave that have not had a chance to use effects on the field. in this turn.

Normally, you should trigger this effect (2) after a high level monster is destroyed ( Horned Dragon - level 8, Twin Dragon - level 7, or Tatsunootoshigo - level 5) so you can have more summoning options. best return.

The requirement to activate effect (2) is not required when a Memento monster is destroyed, but you can activate it when any monster is destroyed.

You can combine this effect of Mementomictlan with the grave effect of Mementotlan Fusion (an effect that can destroy any monster above you) to both combo and clear unnecessary monsters, avoiding conflict when summoning. Special summon Tatsunootoshigo from hand.

In addition, this effect can also be used in the Damage Step when your monster is destroyed by battle. Angwitch , Dark Blade , and Ghattic monsters when summoned cannot be disrupted by hand traps like Ash. Blossm , DD Crow , Infinte Impermanence . Furthermore, with Mementomictlan 's (1) effect, your opponent cannot activate counter traps during this phase.

        (3) During your End Phase, once/turn, you can target 1 Memento spell/trap from your Graveyard and return it to the field.

This is how you can use Mementotlan Fusion or Mementotlan Bone Party almost every turn. In addition, you can turn any card face down to create more pressure on your opponent.

Considering this as a very necessary card for your combo, the archetype also designates a monster that can only search for this card. Play 1 because you don't want to see this card drawn at the beginning of the game.

If a face-up "Memento" monster(s) you control leaves the field because of an opponent's card: Special Summon 1 "Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation" from your hand or Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. If your opponent moves a "Memento" monster(s) out of your GY, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can banish this card; Special Summon as many "Memento" monsters as possible with different names from your hand and/or Deck. You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Bone Back" once per turn.

Coming to the final spells/traps of the archetype, you can use them or not depending on your play style. These cards can be replaced with other staple spells/traps.

          Mementotlan Bone Back (Quick-play spell)

          (1) If your Memento monster is removed from the field due to an opponent's card, you can special summon 1 Combined Creation from your deck, ignoring the summoning conditions.

The ability to cheat key monsters from the deck without having to set them up first is temporary.

          (2) While this card is in your graveyard, if your Memento monster is left from the grave by your opponent, you can banish this card (cost) to special summon as many Memento monsters as possible (different name) from hand or deck.

Both effects are too passive, effect (1) can bring little value to the strategy, play 0 or 1.

If you control a "Memento" monster: Target 1 card on the field; destroy it, then, if you control "Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation", you can destroy 1 more card on the field. When an attack is declared involving your "Memento" monster and an opponent's monster: You can banish this card from your GY; all monsters your opponent currently controls lose 1000 ATK until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Mementotlan Fracture Dance" once per turn.

            Memetotlan Fracture Dance (Normal trap)

            (1) If you control a Memento monster, target 1 card on the field, destroy it, then if you control Combined Creation , you can destroy 1 more card on the field.

            More disruption bombardment.

            (2) When there is an attack between your Memento monster and your opponent's monster, you can banish this card from the grave (cost), all monsters currently on your opponent's field will lose 1000 ATK until the end of the turn.

Reducing 1000 ATK is not a small number.

            Play 1 or 0.

While you control a "Memento" monster, your opponent's monsters that can attack must attack the "Memento" monster you control with the highest ATK (their choice, if tied). When your opponent activates a monster effect on the field (except during the Damage Step): You can target 1 "Mementoal Tecuhtlica - Combined Creation" you control; it loses exactly 1000 ATK/DEF, and if it does, negate that activated effect. You can only activate this effect of "Mementotlan Cranium Burst" once per Chain.

              Mementotlan Cranium Burst (Continuous trap)

              (1) If you control a Memento monster, your opponent's monster must attack your Memento monster with the highest ATK.

              (2) When your opponent activates a monster's effect on their field, you can target 1 Combined Creation on your field, the target monster loses exactly 1000 ATK/DEF, and negate the activated effect of your opponent's monster .

This effect is not limited to 1 use/turn, instead it is 1 time/chain. Combined Creation's ATK/DEF is 5000, which means you can use it up to 5 times/turn.

              Play 1 or 0.

              Conclusion

Recently I introduced to you the first supports of the Memento card clan. This is a card clan with heavy combo gameplay because you need to arrange the effects properly to send Memento cards to the grave.

Watch the next parts to see how this archetype summons Combined Creation and what other combos it can create.

              Thank you for reading.
