Instructions for playing Dark Lord
Skill
Draw Sense: Spell/Trap (90%)
Draw Sense: Spell/Trap
ATK:
0
DEF:
0
Can be used each time your Life Points decrease by 1000. In the Draw Phase, instead of confucting your normal draw, draw a random Spell/Trap Card. This Skill will only activate if you begin the Duel with a Deck that has 3 or more Spell/Trap Cards with different names.
Just lose 1000LP, your body can draw 1 spell/trap card instead of drawing normally. This effect is very important because Darklord's spells/traps are mostly limited so the draw rate is low, also because Darklord is quite dependent on spells. /give in hand and grave to set up control position as well as combo.
Cosmic Enlightenment (Skill Card) (10%)
This skill is mainly used to search for Psychic Wheeleder to Synchro summon Level 6 monsters like Coral Dragon, Brionac,...
Destiny Draw (Skill Card) (Option)
Destiny Draw allows you to draw any card in the deck when your life points decrease by 2000. This skill is also used quite a lot if you have no other skills. This skill also works quite well when you can actively reduce life points with Darklord Amdusc to draw the card you want to draw.
Core
Banishment of the Darklords (X3)
Banishment is Darklord's main search card that allows Darklord to be playable in the current meta. Banishment can add 1 monster card or trap magic as long as it has the word Darklord, except for this Banishment card itself. And you can only activate Banishment every turn.
Darklord Contact (X1-3)
Darklord Contact allows you to special summon 1 Darklord monster from the grave, this is an effect that helps you combo with good Xyz cards. And you can only activate Darklord Contact every turn.
The Sanctified Darklord (X1-3)
Sanctified requires you to send 1 Darklord from your hand or field to the Graveyard to negate the effects of an EFFECT MONSTER on the field (not targeted), and if you do, you restore LP equal to the ATK of the suppressed monster . In the current monster and magic effect meta Sactified allows you to maintain control on the field, as well as restore your LP to continue causing difficulties for your opponents.
Darklord Nasten (X3)
Darklord Nasten
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2600
You can discard 2 other "Darklord" cards; Special Summon this card from your hand. (Quick Effect): You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 "Darklord" Spell/Trap in your GY; apply that target's effect, then shuffle that target into the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Darklord Nasten" once per turn. You can only Special Summon "Darklord Nasten(s)" once per turn.
Nasten has a body of 2k6 ATK and DEF and is summoned very easily, just throw 2 Darklord cards from your hand. Because of this, Nasten is brought 3 to limit the deadhand's ability to throw another Darklord into the grave, which will help the combo. In addition, Nasten will spend 1000 LP (quick effect) to be able to choose 1 Darklord spell or trap in the grave, activate that card's effect, then put that card into the deck (activate Sanctified without sending). 1 Darklord from hand or field as it is a cost).
Darklord Amdusc (X2-3)
Darklord Amdusc
ATK:
1800
DEF:
2800
You can discard this card and 1 "Darklord" card, then target 1 "Darklord" card in your Graveyard; add it to your hand. During either player's turn: You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 "Darklord" Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard; apply that target's effect, then shuffle that target into the Deck. You can only use each effect of "Darklord Amdusc" once per turn. You can only Special Summon "Darklord Amdusc(s)" once per turn.
Amdusc has the ability to throw itself and another Darklord from the hand to the grave to get 1 Darklord card from the grave to the hand. This effect is -1, but Darklord's cost as well as the regeneration ability of this card is a plus.
Darklord Superbia (X0-2)
The duo Superbia and Darklord Contact are very famous on Yugi H5. Superbia has a special ability, when it is special summoned from the grave, you can select 1 Fairy-type card in the grave and special summon that card to the field, except Superbia . Superbia often gives x1, or even not because the effect is too dull and only activates when specially summoned from the grave.
Darklord Tezcatlipoca (X1-2)
Darklord Tezcatlipoca
ATK:
2800
DEF:
2100
If a "Darklord" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or card effect, you can discard this card instead. During either player's turn: You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 "Darklord" Spell/Trap Card in your Graveyard; apply that target's effect, then shuffle that target into the Deck. You can only use this effect of "Darklord Tezcatlipoca" once per turn. You can only Special Summon "Darklord Tezcatlipoca(s)" once per turn.
Tezcat is mainly given 1 for its protection ability. When one or more Darklord monsters are destroyed by battle or effects, you can throw this card from your hand to the grave to replace it. It also has a second effect like Amdusc but is rarely used because the main purpose of this card is to throw it into the grave to block bullets instead of other Darklords.
Darklord Ukoback (X1-3)
When Ukoback is Normal or Special Summoned, you can throw 1 Darklord card from your deck to the Graveyard, if you have Amdusc in your hand, combined with Ukoback or have a Darklord monster that can use magic/traps under rage when Ukoback throws magic/trap, Ukoback 's effect at this time will be no different from search, but Ukoback is not strong at first, only strong in the later stages, when you fully set-up.
Darklord Desire (X1)
Desire does not have the ability to special summon herself, nor can she be special summoned. Desire can be Tributed Summoned by sacrificing 1 Fairy-type monster. Once per turn you can target 1 opponent's monster, this card reduces this monster's ATK by EXACTLY 1000, and if you do, SEND that monster to the Graveyard.
Darklord Morningstar (X0-1)
Darklord Morningstar
ATK:
3000
DEF:
3000
Cannot be Special Summoned. If this card is Tribute Summoned: You can Special Summon "Darklord" monsters from your hand and/or Deck, up to the number of Effect Monsters your opponent controls. While you control another "Darklord" monster, your opponent cannot target this card with card effects. Once per turn: You can send cards from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard, equal to the number of "Darklord" monsters on the field, and if you do, gain 500 LP for each "Darklord" card sent to the Graveyard by this effect.
Morningstar is the final boss of this group, however, because it is too difficult to summon at the present time, the meta is to play quickly, win quickly or play until OTK, then Morningstar shows weaknesses such as no special summons, lack of effects. finish, deadhand,... So Morningstar is no longer used anymore.
Darklord Ixchel (X0-3)
Darklord Ixchel
ATK:
2500
DEF:
2900
You can discard this card and 1 "Darklord" card; draw 2 cards. (Quick Effect): You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 "Darklord" Spell/Trap in your GY; apply that target's effect, then shuffle that target into the Deck. You can only use each effect of "Darklord Ixchel" once per turn. You can only Special Summon "Darklord Ixchel(s)" once per turn.
Ixchel has the ability to throw cards to the grave and a very strong draw 2 as well as a 2 effect like Nasten , but compared to limited 2 with Darklord Contact and Sanctified , Ixchel cannot be brought into the deck, instead the player brings a copy of The other 2 leaves.
Darklord Edeh Arae (X0)
Edeh Arae's effect is too harsh, plus it causes bricks, so it cannot be used in the deck
Darklord Descent (X0)
Although this card has a strong effect, it is not useful at present, since Darklord's level is too high compared to meta decks that use Level 4 monsters to Xyz, as well as this card will cause deadhand, so it cannot be used.
Staple
Star Seraph Scepter, Star Seraph Sovereignty and Stellarknight Delteros (Star Seraph Engine)
Star Seraph Scepter
ATK:
1800
DEF:
400
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Star Seraph" monster from your Deck to your hand, except "Star Seraph Scepter". An Xyz Monster that was Summoned using 3 or more monsters, including this card on the field, as materials gains this effect. ● When it is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 other card on the field; destroy it, and if you do, you can draw 1 card.
Star Seraph Sovereignty
ATK:
800
DEF:
2000
Cannot be used as material for an Xyz Summon, except for an Xyz Summon that uses 3 or more monsters as material. If you Normal or Special Summon a "Star Seraph" monster(s), except during the Damage Step: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, draw 1 card, then you can Special Summon it if it is a "Star Seraph" monster.
Stellarknight Delteros
ATK:
2500
DEF:
2100
3 Level 4 monsters While this card has Xyz Material, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects when you Normal or Special Summon a monster(s). Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 card on the field; destroy it. If this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "tellarknight" monster from your hand or Deck.
This Engine allows you to have less bricks than a pure Darklord, this Engine also allows you to shoot annoying spells, traps or monsters, even shoot them all if possible.
Ritual Beast Ulti-Pettlephin, Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda and Ritual Beast Ulti-Apelio (Ritual Beast Engine)
Ritual Beast Ulti-Pettlephin
ATK:
200
DEF:
2800
1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster + 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (You do not use "Polymerization".) Cannot be destroyed by card effects. During either player's turn: You can return this card you control to the Extra Deck, then target 2 of your banished monsters (1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster and 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster); Special Summon them in Defense Position.
Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda
ATK:
1600
DEF:
1800
If this card in its owner's possession is destroyed by an opponent's card (by battle or card effect): You can Special Summon 1 "Ritual Beast" monster from your Deck or Extra Deck, ignoring its Summoning conditions. You can only Special Summon "Spiritual Beast Tamer Winda(s)" once per turn.
Ritual Beast Ulti-Apelio
ATK:
2600
DEF:
400
1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster + 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster Must be Special Summoned (from your Extra Deck) by banishing the above cards you control, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. (You do not use "Polymerization".) If this card attacks, it is unaffected by other cards' effects until the end of the Damage Step. During either player's turn: You can return this card you control to the Extra Deck, then target 2 of your banished monsters (1 "Ritual Beast Tamer" monster and 1 "Spiritual Beast" monster); Special Summon them in Defense Position.
Ritual Beast Engine is more about thinning the deck, as well as being able to create a 2k6 ATK body monster that is immune to effects, as well as a 2k8 DEF monster that is not destroyed by effects. This engine helps increase the smoothness of the deck, helping you both thin the deck and have the boss of Ritual Beast when your Darklord hand is not good.
Lightsworn Engine
Michael, the Arch-Lightsworn
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2000
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner LIGHT monsters Once per turn: You can pay 1000 LP, then target 1 card on the field; banish that target. When this card is destroyed: You can target any number of other "Lightsworn" monsters in your Graveyard; shuffle them into the Deck, and if you do, you gain 300 LP for each returned card. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the Graveyard.
Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress
ATK:
1700
DEF:
200
You can target 1 Spell/Trap your opponent controls; this card's battle position cannot be changed until the end of your next turn, also change this card you control from face-up Attack Position to face-up Defense Position, and if you do, destroy that target. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Send the top 3 cards of your Deck to the GY.
Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn
ATK:
1700
DEF:
1000
During your Main Phase: You can send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY, then if any "Lightsworn" monsters were sent to the GY by this effect, this card gains 200 ATK until the end of your opponent's turn. You can only use this effect of "Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn" once per turn. Once per turn, during your End Phase: Send the top 2 cards of your Deck to the GY.
There was a time when Lightsworn was a very strong mercenary for Darklord. With the ability to mill lightsworn's graves and regenerate from Darklord's graves, this duo became extremely flawed. And because of the mistake, both of them were numbered to the point where they could no longer play together.
Valhalla Hall of the Fallen (X0-3)
Valhalla allows you to reduce bricks when your hand is full of 5-star or higher Darklords. However, in the current meta, Darklord plays Draw Sense: Spell/Trap a lot and only brings 3 spells/traps: Banishment , Contact and Sanctified , so Valhalla also gradually disappears.
Cosmic Cyclone and Mystical Space Typhoon (X0-3)
The same goal is to not give the opponent a chance to harass you, but Cosmic Cyclone and MST follow two separate playing styles.
Book of Moon and Forbidden Chalice (X0-3)
They all have the same ability to lock the effects of monsters that can attack opponents during your turn so you can combo more easily, but BoM and Chalice are used depending on different situations such as:
Staple Extra Deck
Constellar Ptolemy M7 (X1)
Constellar Ptolemy M7
ATK:
2700
DEF:
2000
2 Level 6 monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Constellar" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material, other than "Constellar Ptolemy M7". (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If Summoned this way, the following effect cannot be activated this turn. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster on the field or in either player's Graveyard; return that target to the hand.
M7 's ability is to spend 1 Xyz material to target 1 card on the field or graveyard and return that targeted card to the hand. With easy summoning conditions (2 Level 6 monsters). Along with the ability to regenerate resources from the grave (a strong point of Darklord) and the ability to return to the hand anti-destroy monsters or send your own monsters to counter trap cards like Fiendish Chain .
Number 20: Giga-Brilliant, Digital Bug Corebage, Gaia Dragon and the Thunder Charger (X0-1)
Digital Bug Corebage
ATK:
2200
DEF:
1800
2 or more Level 5 LIGHT Insect-Type monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by detaching 2 Xyz Materials from a Rank 3 or 4 Insect-Type Xyz Monster you control, then using that Xyz Monster as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Defense Position monster your opponent controls; shuffle it into the Deck. Once per turn, if the battle position of a monster(s) on the field is changed (except during the Damage Step): You can attach 1 Insect-Type monster from your Graveyard to this card as Xyz Material.
Number 20 here is a monster that is only used as a material for higher ranks. Because the summoning conditions only require 2 Level 3 monsters, Number 20 is brought by many people as a Staple for the F2P version of the Extra Deck.
Inzektor Exa-Beetle and Digital Bug Rhinosebus (X0-1)
Inzektor Exa-Beetle
ATK:
1000
DEF:
1000
2 Level 6 monsters When this card is Xyz Summoned: You can target 1 monster in either player's Graveyard; equip that target to this card. This card gains ATK and DEF equal to half the original ATK and DEF of the monster equipped by this effect. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up card on each side of the field; send those targets to the Graveyard.
Digital Bug Rhinosebus
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2200
2 or more Level 7 LIGHT Insect-Type monsters You can also Xyz Summon this card by detaching 2 Xyz Materials from a Rank 5 or 6 Insect-Type Xyz Monster you control, then using that Xyz Monster as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy the face-up monster(s) your opponent controls with the highest DEF (all, if tied).
The couple Bettle and Rhino are very famous in Duel Links thanks to their annoying effects for the opponent
Number 28: Titanic Moth (X0-1)
Number 28: Titanic Moth
ATK:
2400
DEF:
2200
2 Level 7 monsters If you control no other monsters, this card can attack directly, but when it does so using this effect, the battle damage inflicted to your opponent is halved. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each card in their hand.
With easy summoning conditions and a basic LP per player of 4000, Number 28 has become popular in Level 7 decks.
Number 47: Nightmare Shark (X0-1)
Number 47: Nightmare Shark
ATK:
2000
DEF:
2000
2 Level 3 monsters When this card is Special Summoned: You can attach 1 Level 3 WATER monster from your hand or your side of the field to this card as an Xyz Material. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 WATER monster you control; this turn, that monster can attack your opponent directly, also other monsters cannot attack.
Number 47: Nightmare Shark has an extremely dirty ability, which is to spend 1 Xyz material to punch straight at your starting point with a 2k ATK body. Although the side effect is that your other monster cannot attack when it uses the effect, but if you cannot block it, another Number 47 will come onto the field and punch you again (if used to hit the original point, it usually brings 2 leaves ). Nightmare Shark has the ability to overcome all large-bodied enemy monsters and win (if not blocked).
Ghostrick Alucard (X0-1)
Ghostrick Alucard
ATK:
1800
DEF:
1600
2 Level 3 monsters Monsters your opponent controls cannot target face-up "Ghostrick" monsters, or any face-down Defense Position monsters, for attacks, except this one. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Set card your opponent controls; destroy that target. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Alucard" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 other "Ghostrick" card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.
Alucard is mainly included in the deck because it is easy to summon and has the ability to capture the opponent's face-down cards (both monsters and magic/traps). Alucard can be mixed with cards like Book Of Moon very well.
Number 9: Dyson Sphere (X0-1)
Number 9: Dyson Sphere
ATK:
2800
DEF:
3000
2 Level 9 monsters Once per Battle Step, during your opponent's turn, if this card with Xyz Material is attacked: Negate the attack (this is a Quick Effect). When this card is targeted for an attack while it has no Xyz Materials: You can target 2 monsters in your Graveyard; attach those targets to this card as Xyz Materials. During your Main Phase 1: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; this card can attack your opponent directly this turn. Your opponent must control a monster with higher ATK than this card for you to activate and to resolve this effect.
Dyson Sphere is difficult to call (because there are very few Level 9 monsters), but once on the field, Dyson Sphere becomes very strong in combat, especially its ability to hit the origin point very quickly.
Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack (X0-1)
Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2200
2 Level 7 monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 material from this card; Special Summon 2 "Mecha Phantom Beast Tokens" (Machine/WIND/Level 3/ATK 0/DEF 0). While you control a Token, this card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 "Mecha Phantom Beast" monster, then target 1 card on the field; destroy that target. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect.
Dracossack is very easy to summon, only requires 2 Level 7 monsters, with the ability to spend 1 Xyz material to create 2 bullets that also double as protective sandbags, Dracossack becomes difficult to destroy. Dracossack can sacrifice 1 projectile of its own or itself to destroy 1 card on the field. This effect helps Dracossack shoot both backrows and monsters, helping to clear the field very well.
