Answer: If your opponent activates <<12457>> as Chain Link 2 or higher and adds a <<4041>> to their hand, you cannot activate the Pendulum Effect of <<12953>>. If your opponent activates <<12457>> as Chain Link 1 and adds a <<4041>> from their Deck to their hand, you can activate the Pendulum Effect of <<12953>>. In that case, only the <<4041>> that was added to your opponent's hand from their Deck is destroyed. (The <<4041>> added from their Graveyard to their hand is not destroyed.)
