Master Duel: Comments on the latest Banlist October 2023

With the latest Banlist changes (coming on October 10th ), it's safe to say that Tearlaments is almost suffocated in the latest meta. The situation goes as follows:
  • Tears are dead: Kelbek (ban) and Havnis (limit 1) are hit => dead hand rate is higher and will certainly not be able to take advantage of Tear as usual, mixing with other Decks is also difficult and if counter, Tears is considered a loss (but actually there is still one move, Tear Synchro - a bit difficult). So, Tears will simply be dropped from being a meta Deck
  • Number 89 was banned: there will soon be a new Pack with all of Kashtira's support - meaning the Kashtira Deck will be very toxic and abuse the meta as soon as it gets new support. And to prevent that, Konami decided to ban Number 89 :v which is understandable. And that's quite good because other Decks need to have a place in this new meta and players also need to be interested in the game to bring revenue to Konami. At the same time, it also needs to match the TCG/OCG format banlist little by little...
  • Spright dead? Losing the reliable starter, Beaver , causes the Deck to lose its inherent flexibility to avoid handtraps, but that doesn't make the Deck completely dead if you know how to be flexible between level 2 monsters.
  • Dracoslayer returns to the meta? As you know, Dracoslayer also received new support in the last Pack, which means Konami wants players to experience Dracoslayer a little more. A good move to earn more revenue :)
  • Number 75 was released but where is Rhongo ? :v The answer will lie in the future, but for now, releasing support monsters but banning bosses is a pretty useless move by Konami.
  • And finally, Rock Deck will have additional support called Analyzer to receive more reliable extenders right at this time...
=> To summarize, Tears will no longer appear too much in the meta but in return will make way for Kashtira, Purrerly, Dracoslayer ,... and Spright? The Deck's presence will be quite less but will not disappear from the meta, that's for sure
