Ayooooo, a new banlist has just been released for the last days of August and people are going crazy for it! At the very least, we can say the meta will be completely changed with a series of new Deck strength stats. As for the changes, here are my own thoughts:
Banned leaves:
- Block Dragon ban: Rock Deck will have its strength index significantly reduced because it lacks important extenders and searchers => Rock Deck has a high chance of going out of meta
- Merrli ban: the loss of an important extender of Tears implies the upcoming appearance of a hybrid of two card lines (Tear + Kashtira) - Tearlament Kashtira . And soon, a new version of Tear will appear and Tear will be at the top of the rankings once again... The nightmare will still last ~~ So it's true that Tearlament's strength has been reduced. There are also right and wrong ideas, but one thing is certain, the article line has always existed on MD for quite a long time
- Agido ban: well, it's understandable that the mill deck is so easy that this card gets banned :/
- Number 86 ban: a very OP item from the moment it appeared in MD until now, has the ability to stall a lot of materials to get back for yourself effects that prevent opponents from taking any action => Worthy of ban
- Phantasmal ban: gives you a field-locking effect and is an easy-to-sum, indestructible body. Pure FTK (First Turn Kill) when combined with Decks like Manadium or Super Heavy Sam,...
=> Considering the time when new supports have not been released, this list will help reduce the strength index of the Decks significantly, but, nothing is certain because Duelists will all know that in the future there will be new supports. what ~~
Limited cards:
- Kelbek and Grass : same purpose as Agido's, to reduce the power of deck mill cards like Tear
- Jet and Frog : Reduce Spright's power (from being able to use multiple turns to limiting the number of uses)
- Branded Fusion : reduces the power of Branded, but in fact, you can still manage to use the Deck in another direction, so you can rest assured.
=> Hit mainly on Spirght and Tear. Although the remaining Decks' stats will decrease, they can still compete on the rankings
Limit 2 cards:
- Blaster : Konami's purpose for letting this baby breathe is also to increase Dragon Link 's power index a bit. I think this will be a good addition to the Deck for Duelists to consider ~~
- Luster Pendulum : adds a bit of search card power to Dracoslayer or if mixed, your Dragon Link will also be quite strong ~~
- Extravagance : the clay pot of Decks that are not based on Extra Decks is hit? Well it's a bit strange but it seems that Konami wants to eliminate those Decks to make way for a new meta ~~
=> Dragon Link's power is significantly increased after the banlist and Decks based on Extra Decks have their power reduced a bit...
Leaves released:
- Girsu : increases Orcust's strength, but not significantly => Will not be able to enter the meta
- Ancient Fairy Dragon : The dragon was released but to be honest, she is not used much in the Extra Deck, which is nice ~~
- Nadir Servant : a very good searcher for both Branded and Dogmatika => Changes the power quite significantly in both decks mentioned
=> Balance the power more for both small and Branded Decks, Dogmatika...
