Light Galaxy gameplay guide

Light Galaxy gameplay guide

Embodying a fast-paced, burst damage (OTK) style, Light Galaxy represents pure, high-damage power in Rush Duel. While its core skill is no longer at its peak, the deck remains incredibly explosive thanks to its ability to continuously summon massive monsters like Eternal Galactica Oblivion through Fusion Summoning, along with two groundbreaking new additions: Transamu Buster Ryanac and Transamu Power Linac . By ignoring slow defensive 54QP cards, Light Galaxy focuses heavily on card filtering and overwhelming opponents with its sheer Attack Power. Let's explore this meta-crushing machine!

Galactica Fusion Draw (Skill Card)

Despite being nerfed and currently lacking a more optimal new skill for the Light Galaxy type, Galactic Fusion Draw remains crucial to the deck's operation. This skill allows you to send up to two Level 7 Light-type monsters and/or spell cards from your hand to the graveyard, then draw back the corresponding number of cards.

The core value of this Skill lies not only in helping you filter cards to avoid "bricking," but also in establishing a crucial resource in the Graveyard for later Fusion sequences. The most dangerous aspect is when you use this Skill to send Galactica Oblivion to the Graveyard: you will instantly draw a Secret Order , Fusion , or monster from outside your deck into your hand (this effect can only be used once per game). This combination creates a perfect workaround: proactively send the Boss to the Graveyard -> get a Secret Order into your hand, and immediately use it to Special Summon that boss back to the field with full power.

The monsters in the main deck

Serving as the main Normal Monster and the heart of the deck, you can easily summon it to the field with its massive 3200 Attack Power via Secret Order , or use it as a core material to Fusion Summon Eternal Galactica Oblivion .

Additionally, this is also the perfect target to discard to the Graveyard using Galactic Fusion Draw . This action allows you to instantly retrieve important cards from outside your deck into your hand, preparing for your next explosive combo.

Transam Lika (x3-2)

This is an incredibly important Tier 4 monster. Its greatest strength is its ability to deal piercing damage to your opponent's defensive monsters, especially dangerous when combined with the massive Attack Power of the boss monsters in your deck.

Additionally, its discard effect allows you to quickly send necessary cards to the Graveyard, creating ideal conditions to increase Eternal Galactica Oblivion 's damage or stockpile materials for a new Fusion Spell.

Transamu Ephyrai (x3-2)

Transamu Ephyrai

A nearly mandatory card since the introduction of Transam Power Linac . If your opponent has a monster on the field, it allows you to send the top card of your deck to the Graveyard, helping you quickly accumulate resources (reaching 5 cards in the Graveyard or sending Fusion to the Graveyard).

Furthermore, it has the ability to increase the Attack Power of a face-up Transamu Linac on the field by 1000 to aid in clearing the board. Most terrifyingly, if you shuffle it from the Graveyard into your deck as a condition to activate Transamu Power Linac , it will be buffed by an additional 2600 Attack Power, creating an extremely fast OTK (One-Time Kill) potential.

This monster is an excellent tool for digging and filling the Graveyard. By milling down into the Graveyard, it not only helps you prepare materials but also allows you to retrieve Fusion cards or a Normal monster from the Graveyard, providing incredibly valuable recycling resources for the mid-game.

The inclusion of this monster is crucial for optimizing the early game. Its ability to continuously mill cards (send cards from the deck to the graveyard) provides a significant advantage, allowing you to quickly set up a perfect graveyard with all the necessary Fusion materials and objectives for resurrection.

Although it has no field effects, this 4-star Normal monster is a crucial foundational piece to have in your Graveyard or Hand. It's the designated material for Fusion Summoning two new mutant monsters: Transamu Buster Ryanac and Transamu Power Linac .

This is a flexible card in the deck (it can be replaced with another card) but it's the only card that truly provides a card advantage without requiring you to spend resources beforehand (like discarding a card). It allows you to easily retrieve a low-level monster from the Graveyard to use as a sacrifice, fusion material, or to reclaim a target needed to activate a Skill.

Galactiara Eve (x2-3)

A crucial card filtering piece. Its effect of discarding one card to draw one allows you to quickly send necessary resources to the Graveyard and find better combo pieces in your hand.

Although this effect is no longer as "essential" as it was in the early days of the deck (when decks always had to try to summon Eternal Galactica Oblivion on Turn 1), it remains a great tool for increasing stability. Furthermore, after completing its filtering task, it becomes an extremely convenient resource on the field for continuing to perform Fusion Summons.

Although this is a very good Level 7 Light Normal Monster of the Galaxy tribe and perfectly valid for Skill Summoning, it's often absent from deck lists because that slot is already occupied by Galactica Oblivion . Overloading decks with high-level monsters that don't have the ability to Special Summon makes the deck extremely prone to breaking. I recommend adjusting the low-level/high-level monster ratio to a reasonable level (meaning you can remove this card if you already have x3 GO) to ensure stability.

Spell/Trap

Transam Nebula Fusion (x1-2)

Transam Nebula Fusion

This is a new Fusion card and the "key" to summoning mutant Bosses. Its effect allows you to Fusion Summon a monster that mentions Transamu Linac by shuffling a monster on the field along with monsters from the Graveyard back into your deck. By utilizing Graveyard cards as materials, you can perform Fusion moves (such as summoning Transamu Buster Ryanac or Transamu Power Linac ) without spending too many resources on the field.

However, one rather annoying aspect is that this Spell requires you to discard exactly one Galaxy monster from your hand to the Graveyard to activate it, instead of discarding any card (like a spare Spell, for example). To optimize its effectiveness, I recommend playing it at a maximum of 2x. This number is sufficient for you to deploy your strategy without fear of being "bricked" if you accidentally draw too many at once.

Secret Order (x3)

An extremely powerful spell, often drawn directly into the hand thanks to the effect of the Galactic Fusion Draw skill (after discarding Galactica Oblivion ). Its main function is to directly revive Galactica Oblivion from the Graveyard onto the field. This action instantly gives you a 3200 Attack Power wall to apply pressure, or provides the ideal materials to continue fusing into Eternal Galactica Oblivion .

This Spell Legend card is simply a perfect, unquestionable choice. Drawing two free cards significantly boosts your deck's advantage, speeds up the process of finding combo pieces, and replenishes resources lost after discarding cards. There's never a reason to remove this card from your deck.

Fusion (x2-3)

The basic Fusion card is the "heart" that powers all of Light Galaxy's most powerful combos. Not only is it used to summon Fusion, but it's also a crucial item to obtain through abilities. The deck's strength lies in its constant recycling, retrieved from the Graveyard through monster effects (such as Galactica Amnesia or Extra Plorer ), ensuring you always have it when you need to deliver the finishing blow.

Universal Storm (x1 or x3)

The next card to break is Universal Storm , but you might not use it. The reason is that it's a "one-for-one" card (using one card to break another). Meanwhile, this deck requires you to have many cards in your hand to perform Fusion moves. If you waste resources in your hand breaking traps, it will be very difficult to summon game-winning boss monsters.

Meteor Charge (x0-2)

Meteor Charge

This is an extremely popular Spell in Rush Duel, granting one of your monsters a penetration effect. Even better, if you grant this effect to a Normal monster (like Galactica Oblivion ), you can also change the battle stance of an opponent's monster, forcing them to face up and take penetration damage.

However, the reason this card shouldn't be included in the Decklist is because the deck already has Transam Lika, which excels at this role. Transam Lika is preferred because it's a monster that helps maintain the monster level density in the deck, can be used as a discard cost for Transam Nebula Fusion , and serves as a required material to Fusion Summon Transam Power Linac .

Galactica Force (x0-1)
Card rarity

Galactica Force

This card is a powerful ATK booster specifically designed for decks revolving around Normal monsters. When activated, it increases the Attack Power of all Galaxy Normal monsters on your field by an amount equal to the number of face-up Normal monsters on the entire field multiplied by 300. If there are many Normal monsters on the field, the bonus damage is enormous.

The biggest reason Galactica Force has little impact in the new Light Galaxy version is that the deck's core gameplay has shifted towards Fusion Summoning . Your main attacking forces at the finish line are Fusion monsters (such as Eternal Galactica Oblivion , Transam Buster Ryanac , or Transam Power Linac ). Because Galactica Force only buffs Normal monsters, it becomes a completely useless ("brick") card once your boss monsters are on the field.

Extra Deck

Transam Buster Linac

This is the new boss of the deck with an incredibly powerful effect: destroying one of your opponent's face-down cards without requiring strict activation conditions. The most terrifying aspect is that if you use this effect during the Main Phase of its Fusion Summoning turn, it gains an additional 2600 ATK. With a base ATK of 3500, it will skyrocket to a massive 6100, enough to crush almost any obstacle.

However, it also has fatal drawbacks. Summoning it is quite cumbersome as it requires two Level 7/8 monsters with the Effect, meaning you can't use the Normal monster Galactica Oblivion as material. Additionally, if your opponent doesn't have any face-down cards for you to destroy, you won't gain any Attack Power, turning it into a regular 3500 ATK monster on the field.

By shuffling two monsters from the Graveyard back into the deck, it gains 1000 Attack. Specifically, if one of the monsters shuffled into the deck is Transam Ephyrai , it gains an additional 2600 ATK, pushing its total Attack Power to 6200.

This 6200 stack is larger than Transam Buster Linac , so if your opponent uses Widespread Ruin (to destroy the monster with the highest Attack), this card will be the perfect "shield". However, you must always remember its biggest limitation: this monster absolutely cannot directly attack your opponent's life points if using its effects.

Eternal Galactica Oblivion (x2)

This card is the second, incredibly familiar and reliable, winning condition of the deck. The strategy surrounding this card is simple: Summon it to the field with massive Attack Power accumulated from the number of Galaxy-type monsters in the Graveyard, then overwhelm your opponent.

In situations where your opponent is defending with face-down monsters, simply combine it with the effect of Transam Lika . The superior attack power combined with the piercing ability will easily lead to a swift victory.

This is the perfect "stepping stone" to boost your power. The main purpose of this card is that after being played, it will immediately revive Galactica Oblivion and retrieve Fusion from the Graveyard into your hand. This combo sets the stage for you to summon Eternal Galactica Oblivion completely free of charge.

Additionally, it offers another benefit. If you're looking to delve deeper into the deck to find breakout cards (like Transamu Lika or Extra Plorer ), you can use its effect to push Fusion cards to the bottom of the deck to draw one card, helping maintain a smooth draw pace.

Although lacking devastating Attack Power, this monster is a very good tool for destroying the opponent's backline. Clearing hidden Traps allows your other main monsters to confidently launch a full-scale attack without fear of being defeated.

Additionally, using Transam Nebula Fusion to summon this card is a great way to move materials from your hand to the Graveyard. The fuller your Graveyard, the more resources you'll have to activate Transam Nebula Fusion and summon new bosses.

How to play/How to combo

Gameplay Overview

- Storm Attack

The current Light Galaxy deck operates on an "all gas" philosophy – focusing all resources on dealing massive damage (OTK). Instead of slowing down to break the opponent's Traps with cards like Universal Storm (which depletes hand cards, making Fusion difficult), the deck often chooses to maximize the pace of the game. By continuously summoning monsters with enormous Attack Power (from 6100 to 6200), Light Galaxy is ready to overwhelm opponents with pure power and can confidently play through annoying meta traps like Star Protector's Protection .

Filter Cards and Fill Graves

At the start of the match, your top priority is to fill your Graveyard as quickly as possible. Through your Skills, along with the card milling effects of Star Tri , Extra Plorer , Transam Lika , or Transamu Ephyrai , you will continuously send Fusion and Fusion materials to your Graveyard. A thick Graveyard is crucial for increasing the Attack Power of Eternal Galactica Oblivion and for activating the new Fusion card, Transam Nebula Fusion .

How to Create Core Combos

1. Early Game Setup Combo (Opening the Way with Skills)

This is the most basic step in creating pressure:

  • Activate the Skill, send Galactica Oblivion from your hand to the Graveyard to draw 1 card.

  • The Skill's side effect allows you to instantly draw a Secret Order card from outside your deck into your hand.

  • Activate Secret Order to directly summon Galactica Oblivion (3200 Attack) from the Graveyard back to the battlefield. At this point, you can leave it to threaten your opponent, or use it as bait for larger Fusion Summons.

2. Consecutive Fusion Combo

This combo allows you to summon Eternal Galactica Oblivion almost for free:

  • Use Fusion cards to fuse two monsters and summon Galactica Fuse (Eve).

  • Use the effect of Fuse Eve : revive Galactica Oblivion from the Graveyard and retrieve the Fusion card you just used back into your hand.

  • Continue activating Fusion , use Galactica Oblivion and any Galaxy monster to summon the final boss Eternal Galactica Oblivion .

3. New Boss Combo from the Grave (Nebula Fusion)

Once you've gathered enough materials in the Graveyard, Transam Nebula Fusion will speak:

  • Activate Transamu Nebula Fusion , discard 1 Galaxy monster from your hand as a cost.

  • Option 1 (Summon Buster Linac): Shuffle 1 monster on the field and Transam Linac along with 1 Tier 7/8 monster (with effects) from the Graveyard into your deck. Summon Transamu Buster Linac . Activate the effect that destroys 1 face-down card of your opponent, increasing your Attack Power to 6100.

  • Method 2 (Summoning Power Linac): Shuffle 1 monster on the field, Transamu Linac and Transamu Lika (Level 4) from the Graveyard into your deck. Activate Power Linac 's effect, shuffle Transamu Ephyrai from the Graveyard back into your deck to gain a total 3600 Attack buff (reaching 6200 Attack). Note: This monster cannot be used to directly attack life points.

4. Piercing OTK Combo

When your opponent intentionally sets their monster face down to stall for time, here's how you punish them:

  • Clear the way to summon Eternal Galactica Oblivion (Attack Power will usually jump to around 4000-5000 depending on the number of cards in the Graveyard).

  • Summon Transamu Lika to the field. Activate its effect to grant Eternal Galactica Oblivion the ability to penetrate defenses.

  • Take that monster with massive Attack Power and charge straight into your opponent's face-down card; the excess damage will be deducted directly from their Life Points, securing instant victory.
