Instructions for building and playing Phantom Beast Branded (DUNE 2023)

Are you a Duelist in 2010 and now want to return to the game? Are you passionate about the deck of the King of Games - Yugi Muto? Good, this is a sideline for our Pharaoh as well as a pioneer deck for the Illusionist - Phantom Beast family! Not Mecha Phantom Beast!

With this article, the Deck will come with Branded for high consistency between Fusion monsters!

Some features of the Deck
  • Grind Game or early game both have high strength index
  • Control is very good
  • Swarm the yard well
  • Recycle resources well
  • OTK and high attack power
  • The difficulty of the deck is quite high
  • Very few bricks
  • Going before or after is great!




Core Phantom Beast

Archetype itself is not very strong, but in terms of control and negate capabilities, plus endless recycling , this would be a good archetype to use with Branded or another Fusion line that can be protected . bosses...

When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a card(s) you control, while you control "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" (Quick Effect): You can banish this card from your field or GY; negate that effect, and if you do, destroy that card.


  • The new type of monster has a pretty good defensive effect that prevents both monsters attacking each other from being destroyed => Good defense
  • Swordsman and Koater are the two main searchers of the Deck => bring Fusion materials to the field or hand => from there search for Fusion Spells => Bring the boss to the field
  • Main negate (not handtrap) => Koater will be more useful due to its wider negate range
=> Max 3 both...

    • Recycle continuously if Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast is on the field
    • Puts both fusion materials on the field at the cost of removing it => Useful if you play a build with 2 copies of this Fusion card

    "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" + 1+ Illusion monsters This card's name becomes "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast" while on the field or in the GY. This card can attack monsters a number of times each Battle Phase, up to the number of materials used for it. If this card battles a monster, neither can be destroyed by that battle. At the end of the Damage Step, if this card battled an opponent's monster: You can change that opponent's monster's ATK to 0, also negate its effects.


    • Both are named Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast and are Phantom Beast monsters when on the field => Useful when using the GY effs of the archetype
    • Chimera Illusion is the Deck's main Beater : cannot be destroyed and causes opp's monsters to do the same => attacks 2 times and causes opp's monsters' ATK to 0 ( no target ) and negates their eff after the 2nd attack => very good for dealing with opp's annoying bosses
    • Chimera Phantom Beast King is an extender of the Deck. In addition, when you get Fusion, at the end of the turn send 1 random card from opp's hand to GY. Although it will help opp increase their GY eff, on the positive side, it will cause opp to lose the advantage of cards in hand... => seems not very useful compared to Illusion...

    Everything needs Albaz's presence and needs to be in the Extra Deck => Albaz is indispensable :v
    • Rindbrumm : suitable for Chimera, a line full of Beast monsters, main negate and also a secondary Extender if below GY => summon Albaz to the field or itself but banish the remaining cards... => easy to lose resources, need careful
    • Lubellion : Material suitable for more than half of the Deck, is Extender Fusion but the limitation is that it cannot attack => use Fusion itself :v
    • Mirrorjade : Materials are too easy to find right on the opp field, main boss of the Deck, main banish, destroy the secondary field if it leaves the field...
    • Titaniklad : Big beater, not affected by effs on the turn it is summoned, extender brings Albaz to the field at the end of the turn => main target of Mirrorjade
    • Albion : Extender Fusion like Lubellion but consumes more resources, searches for Branded spells/traps
    • Alba-Lenatus : Not really a beater but if you like, just use it :v meh, but can search for Poly or a certain Fusion Spell => bonus searcher...

That's right, Extra Deck, which means you can use the Branded Fusion searcher effs without having to think about how to send them to the GY. In addition, if there is a monster that has SS activated eff from the field opp => banish this card from the GY or the field to summon 1 Despia (in this version, focus on only Despia and Branded) from the Extra Deck.
