Instructions for playing Loaner Deck G Golem (Ver Duel Trial)

Instructions for playing Loaner Deck G Golem (Ver Duel Trial)

With Loaner Deck - Cumbersome yet Inpenetrable Shield ... quite a long name, right :v You can use a deck specializing in Cyberse Earth of G Golem to continuously summon monsters and build yourself a solid defense. In this second Duel Trial event, most Decks will follow the Extra Deck with the majority being Fusion monsters, but here, with G Golem's Loaner Deck, we will have a completely new transformation!

From a personal point of view, when playing this Deck, I feel it's a little better but still a bit rough :v However, it's quite difficult to play for newbies so I also want to create a guide to help you. in this event! Okay let's get into the guide!

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add to your hand or Special Summon 1 "G Golem Pebble Dog" from your Deck, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters. If this card is sent from the hand to the GY: You can add 1 "G Golem" card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "G Golem Pebble Dog" once per turn.

If this card is in your hand: You can discard 1 other Cyberse monster; reduce this card's Level by 2 until the end of this turn (even after it is Summoned/Set). You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 3 "G Golem Tokens" (Cyberse/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except Cyberse monsters. You can only use each effect of "G Golem Rock Hammer" once per turn.

G Golem's monster array is very simple, so they will need the help of other Cyberse Earths . Their effects quickly help us summon other bodies to quickly Link Summon!
  • Peblle Dog helps you summon 1 more copy as soon as it is summoned (so we quickly have Link 2) and helps search for other G Golem cards every time they are sent to the GY.
  • In the anime, Ignis Earth uses Cost Down to summon Rock Hammer , but in real life, Rock Hammer itself will Cost Down its level at the cost of 1 Cyberse. After that, you can use it to summon 3 Tokens to the field and quickly enter Link Summon!

You can only use each of the following effects of "Gatchiri @Ignister" once per turn. ● You can target 1 Cyberse Effect Monster you control; negate its effects, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand. ● If this card is sent from the field to your GY: You can target 1 face-up monster you control; that target is unaffected by your opponent's card effects until the end of your opponent's turn.

When a Link Monster is destroyed by battle: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. When your Link Monster destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can inflict damage to your opponent equal to that destroyed monster's original ATK. When an attack is declared involving a Link Monster you control and an opponent's monster: You can banish this card from your GY; the ATK's of those monsters become 3000. You can only use each effect of "Gussari @Ignister" once per turn.

The Earth @Ignister team is also a great support team to put more bodies on the field
  • Doshin is easily special summoned if there is 1 @Ignister on the field, helping to replenish the Extra Deck and quickly search for Fusion cards to bring the only Fusion monster in the Extra Deck to the field.
  • Gatchiri is Deck Cyberse's most frequently used tech, because it's easy to sum and keeps your Links protected. In addition, it also has 3000 DEF to help you have a pretty good defensive wall.
  • Gussari is a good handtech to defend if one of your Links is destroyed by combat (remember, we're only using the Loaner Deck here, so don't worry too much about getting punched to the point where you can't see). Additionally, while it is on the field, if your Link destroys a monster, you can deal effect damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's original ATK. And when your monster is attacked while this card is in the GY, it will turn both monsters into 3000 ATK, which is considered a suicide punch...

This Cyberse deck has also helped a lot in other Cyberse Decks, the main effect is mainly to put bodies on the field to easily access Link.
  • Kid will let you summon another Cyberse to your hand every time it is summoned
  • Linkslayer is useful in the early turns when the field does not have a single monster shadow, you can quickly summon it to the field. Additionally, you can cast up to 2 cards to target as many Spell&Trap cards on the field to destroy them.

With this event, a little boost to the monster's ATK is also quite good, at least enough to end the opp. But what's worth mentioning is that being able to sacrifice it yourself to destroy one of opp's monsters :v is quite helpful, right?

If a "G Golem" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only use each effect of "Gravity Balance" once per turn.

The only Spell card of the archetype, actually the only Spell&Trap of the archetype :v The effect is quite simple, sums 2 bodies from GY to the field to easily link and help protect your G Golems.

Simply a normal Fusion Spell card. However, if you use @Ignister as a material, you can use 1 opp's Link as the next material (good for Mirror matches in the event).

Most Extra Decks depend on G Golem
                    • Crystal Heart will sum 1 Link EARTH to the zone it points to, then place 1 G Golem Counter on this card. Each monster co-linked with this card will gain 600 ATK per G Golem Counter and can punch twice, plus deal armor-piercing damage :v understand why EARTH Ignis wants to keep Crystal Heart on the field then ha
                    • Menhir 's only effect is to summon 1 more body if it is summoned from under the GY to the field. This will be a very good combo when combined with Crystal Heart
                    • Dolmen is the Ace of the Deck! Co-linked monsters will not be affected by the opp monster's effects and they are required to attack you (if possible). Additionally, it helps recycle your hand by discarding unnecessary cards from your hand and drawing 1 card. Not to mention, if Dolmen is destroyed, any monsters opp currently has will have their effects disabled! What an awesome ace...
                    • Trilithon is the Link 4 you will want to go to last, because its effect is not much more special than Dolmen but can be a beater to help quickly clear opp monsters. In particular, it can disable all effects on your Link, a perfect negate if you want to floodgate opp in the last turns of the game.

1 Cyberse monster + 1 Link Monster After this card is Fusion Summoned, you take no damage for the rest of this turn. If this card attacks a monster that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, this card gains ATK equal to its original ATK during the Damage Step only. When this card is destroyed by battle: You can target 1 Cyberse monster in your GY, except "Earth Golem @Ignister"; Special Summon it. You can only use this effect of "Earth Golem @Ignister" once per turn.

Beater, only used for punching EXTRA DECK monsters! Please take note of this. In addition, if you are destroyed, you can target 1 Cyberse in the GY to summon, and recovery is also good. That's it, the Deck's only Fusion but it seems like it's only used to end the game quickly.

                    Combo

This part is important because after briefly understanding what the cards can do, the only thing to do is learn the correct way to play the Loaner Deck. With G Golem, the gameplay will be the same as in the anime , I won't talk about too many combos because that is different for each person, you will have to experience it yourself to have more diverse combos. In this guide, I will only talk about exactly 1 basic combo of G Golem, check it out!

2 EARTH monsters If this card is Special Summoned from the GY: You can target 1 EARTH monster in your GY that can be Normal Summoned/Set; Special Summon it (but negate its effects, also banish it when it leaves the field) or add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "G Golem Stubborn Menhir" once per turn.

                    Gravity Balance

(This card is always treated as a "G Golem" card.) Target 2 of your EARTH monsters with the same name that are banished or in your GY; Special Summon both in Defense Position, but negate their effects, change their ATK/DEF to 0, also destroy them during the End Phase. If a "G Golem" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only use each effect of "Gravity Balance" once per turn.

2+ EARTH monsters Co-linked monsters you control are unaffected by monster effects activated on your opponent's field. All monsters your opponent controls that can attack must attack this card. Once per turn: You can discard 1 Cyberse monster; draw 1 card. If this co-linked card is destroyed: You can negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent currently controls.

This combo works purely based on G Golems, your hand can have Rock Hammer or Pebble Dog , in this combo I will talk about Pebble Dog first.
                      1. Normal Pebble Dog, activate the Special Summon effect to add 1 Pebble Dog
                      2. Link to Menhir, activate the Pebble Dog effect, search Gravity Balance
                      3. Activate Gravity Balance, bring 2 Pebble Dogs back to the field
                      4. Link to Crystal Heart using Menhir and 1 Pebble Dog, make sure the Crystal Heart is in the Extra Zone and not pointing at any monster below the Main Monster Zone .
                      5. Activate Crystal Heart's effect, bringing Menhir back onto the field. Menhir returns to the field and activates the effect again, bringing Pebble Dog under GY onto the field.
                      6. Link to Dolmen using Menhir and Pebble Dog brought up thanks to Gravity Balance (to avoid the other Pebble Dog being banned by Menhir, avoiding loss of resources)
Field setup: Crystal Heart, Dolmen and 1 Pebble Dog as bodies to defend
At this point, you can go straight to Link 4 using Dolmen and Pebble Dog, but it depends on the situation! In addition, you have a pretty good defense layer called Dolmen because Crystal Heart will not be destroyed by battle or affected by card effects due to Dolmen's effects, however your Pebble Dog will be affected. Please! (Even though it wasn't punched): v

This combo uses Rock Hammer as a starter
                      1. Activate the Rock Hammer effect to drop 1 Cyberse onto GY (anything works, Pebble Dog is better)
                      2. Normal Rock Hammer
                      3. Activate the effect, sacrifice it to summon 3 Tokens
                      4. Link to Menhir uses 2 Tokens
                      5. Link to Crystal Heart using Menhir and remaining Tokens
                      6. Activating Crystal Heart's effect brings Menhir back onto the field, and Menhir activates the effect again to bring Rock Hammer back onto the field
                      7. Link out to Dolmen using Menhir and Rock Hammer, Rock Hammer is banned
Stadium lineup: Dolmen and Crystal Heart
This is a fairly basic and simple yard system, but it also helps you protect some of your yard. I recommend that if you have a hand like this, you should take the next turn (or use another combo to have better protection monsters) because even though you have Dolmen's protection, your monsters are still affected by the monsters. Spell & Trap, it's also a bit difficult to keep the field stable in the first turn (in this event, Loaner Decks have Raigeki )

                      General comment

Overall, this Loaner Deck is better than other Decks in that it can collect many monsters and get to Ace quickly. However, they will still be affected by backrows and handtraps , but the main nature of the events is for you to end the game quickly and receive rewards. That's why the majority of Duelists participating in the event also use G Golem quite a bit :v Well, this is my guide and I hope it can help you somewhat! See you guys in the next article!
