This will be a short tutorial mainly on the Time Thief card line!

Time Thief, released in January 2019 in Savage Strike. This control archetype revolves around a rank 4 monster - Time Thief Redoer whose effects cause different interactions depending on the type of card it has as xyz material. The archetype achieves this by stealing your opponent's cards from the top of the deck, field, or GY with various cards. It can also attach archetype-specific spells and traps!

As mentioned before, Time Thief Redoer has effects based on the types of cards it extracts as materials. For monsters, it banishes itself until the end phase to avoid removal; Spells to draw cards have always been a highly appreciated effect in Yu-Gi-Oh!; and for traps, it can send a face-up card from your opponent's field back to the top of the deck. Its final effect is what makes redoer such a great monster to discard as it discards anything face-up that isn't targeted and returns it to the deck, which is always a frustrating occurrence. out with your cards. Unfortunately, there are some disadvantages to keeping your cards rather than using them in the standby phase to get the top card as material hoping you get a card you like or supporting it by using Use the rest of its archetype as subpar or summon it with The Phantom Knights of Shade Brigandine . The deck's best normal summon has an effect that can be summarized as Rescue Rabbit , with the rest of the archetype having a summon or GY effect and putting 2 level 4s on the field, it will perform a normal summon Surprisingly, the common theme you'll see here is that this deck hates Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring . Very normal but will be very choke on Ash, luckily you can stop Ash with Called by the Grave and PSY-Framegear Gamma (but that's just a small % of luck anyway).

The deck's Elemental HERO Stratos , when summoned, will search for any other Time Thief card and is also a good extender. There's not much to say but you play it for consistency

This beautiful scientist is your next extender, she can be the deck's Kagetokage or Armageddon Knight , unfortunately she can only use one of her effects per turn, but that's okay because you mostly use her hand effects more often, the rest don't. A good search from Winder when you want more hits.

A time machine. This machine like this Winder could be an extender from GY and it comes with a cool effect to act as a DD Crow without targeting which is not only a good form when interrupted, but it also provides materials for the Redoer. Overall a must play but not a great starter but there are ways to play around when you start with it of which Adjuster is one of them.

During your opponent's Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; the next battle damage you take from an opponent's monster's attack this turn is inflicted to your opponent instead. If a face-up Xyz Monster you control leaves the field by card effect, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use each effect of "Time Thief Chronocorder" once per turn.


Not as good as Ship but it still makes a good extender as banishing the Redoer with its own effect will trigger its GY summon effect, but if the Redoder has it as material, you have to detach the Chrono if No it won't activate as it's not in GY when it happens. Makes a perfect extender when your hand has an Adjuster and a Regulator as it allows you to create your second Xyz monster along with the Redoer.

    During the turn they are Special Summoned, Xyz Monsters you control cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects, also your opponent cannot target them with card effects. You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; it gains 300 ATK for each material currently attached to it, until the end of this turn, and if it does, and also has a material that is owned by your opponent, it can attack directly this turn (even if this card leaves the field). You can only use this effect of "Time Thief Hack" once per turn.


    Honestly the second worst card in the archetype and introduced for the manga. This card is cute, some hybrid cards can take advantage of it but considering that Redoer only comes back after being banished instead of resummoning itself, the protection is like non-existent for most of the game . The direct attack ability is funny if you hate cards like Number 59: Crooked Cook , but anyway not recommended unless you want a spell for the attached Redoer.

      Special Summon 1 "Time Thief" monster from your hand. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Time Thief" Xyz Monster you control; attach 3 "Time Thief" cards of different types (1 Monster, 1 Spell, and 1 Trap) from your GY to that monster as material. You can only use 1 "Time Thief Startup" effect per turn, and only once that turn.


      Neither spell is good, but this spell can be useful in many ways to unlock itself when hands are like Winder with anything other than an Adjuster or Regulator. Also, the GY effect is great but you need to set up a card quite thoroughly to get started. Giving Redoer enough ingredients during the game is really good. This card can be used as you like, however, some people will still consider it trash.

        Target 1 "Time Thief" Xyz Monster you control; attach 1 "Time Thief" card from your hand or Deck to it as material. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 "Time Thief" Xyz Monster you control; attach 1 card from your opponent's GY to it as material. You can only use 1 "Time Thief Flyback" effect per turn, and only once that turn.


        This trap card is a very good on-field effect and a great GY effect as well as your opponent's Ship as well as DD Crow, you will need to use at least 2 cards as the target is usually itself and you want the Redoer to have one trap and this card to target GY. The number of card stealing matches this can make is huge. Usually searched by Winder but there is another way to attach this card to Redoer.

          When a Spell/Trap Card is activated while you control a "Time Thief" Xyz Monster: Negate the activation, and if you do, attach that card to a "Time Thief" Xyz Monster you control as material. You can only activate 1 "Time Thief Retrograde" per turn.


          A great counter trap, but sadly not for monsters, pretty great for combo versions to stop cards like Dark Ruler No More and Forbidden Droplet . Still good in the control version to stop Lightning Storm is truly great protection and it cannot be recommended enough. Stealing negative cards is also great in that it prevents things like Sky Striker Mobilize - Engage! and Eldlixir of Scarlet Sanguine is in the GY. Usually you won't draw cards with Redoer after using this.

          Maybe a future version of Adjuster. The third member of Time Thief is also an incredible xyz not only for Redoer but also for several other xyz. Being able to provide any other Xyz material is great for cards like Dingirsu, Orcust of the Evening Star and Number 86: Heroic Champion - Rhongomyniad . The Standby Phase effect she can bring back to any other Time Thief is great, especially since Winder searches more when summoned and Ship is a very good interaction. Plus Redoer returns. It can be said that it is the second best card of the archetype.

          Very good effect. The main problem is that it cannot attach material itself like Redoer. You've supported Redoer enough that the second card will struggle to support next to it. Still not worse since it can disable and even steal, just luck giving it both a spell and trap in the turn without ignoring the Redoer. Use it according to your personal preferences.

              Psy-Frame is good at protecting Time Thief Regulator from being hit by Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring as it's sacrifice has a cost that allows PSY-Framegear Gamma to negate it and as a penalty you can form PSY -Framelord Lambda and since Time Thief Redoer is a psychic that can banish himself, you can search your second Gamma with Lambda.

                Chaos Engine is great for getting lvl 4 for free, especially with the PSY-Frame engine with Striker Dragon which allows you to create PSY-Framelord Lambda and use extenders like Parallel eXceed to create Lambda Redoer before normal summoning.
