Instructions for building and playing Live☆Twin
This is a guide to the Live☆Twin series, also known as Evil☆Twin. Hope you have a fun time in the game!
Sections covered in this guide:
overview
Live and Evil Twin is an archetype based on Vtubers and Phishing. The prototype achieves this by having the first viewers (your opponents) introduced to Live ☆ Twins. Behind the scenes, Evil ★ Twin breaks into the main viewer grid with Evil ★ Twin Lil-la destroying a card on the field and Evil ★ Twin Ki-sikil gathering information for you by drawing a card. This cycle repeats, until the viewer's life is ruined. The prototype appeared in the same secret pack as the Altergeist line, Electron Illusion .
The deck thrives on its 1-card Link combo. Starting with one of the Live ☆ Twins will let you draw a card while setting up a quick effect to destroy a card during your opponent's turn. Although the deck lacks Link-4 Evil ★ Twin's Trouble Sunny to be truly competitive, with their combo set they can easily control the field with the help of handtraps and disruptive cards while also burning Burn your opponent's LP with Live ☆ Twin Sunny's Snitch to help finish them off.

Core
Live☆Twin Lil-la Treat and Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost (Live☆Twin Ki-sikil Frost 0-3x; Live☆Twin Lil-la Treat 0-1x)
The prototype's extenders. We will play Frost more than Treat due to its superior GY effect, which gives us a card advantage. With Frost, you can use the Link Discipl e combo (explained later) to control both Evil★Twin Ki-sikil and I:P Masquerena so that Link becomes Knightmare Unicorn during your opponent's turn. If you have either of these monsters in your second turn, you can Special Summon them to Link into another Evil★Twin monster to help reactivate their effects.
Evil★Twin Lil-la and Evil★Twin Ki-sikil (2-3x)
The main Link monsters and the ladies behind Live ☆ Twin. Both have effects that trigger when they are Summoned while the remaining cards are on the field. If you Summon Evil★Twin Ki-sikil while you have Evil★Twin Lil-la on the field, you can draw one card, whereas, if you Summon Lil-la while you have Ki-sikil, you can target and destroy a card on the field. They can also revive monsters with the opposite name ("Ki-sikil" or "Lil-la") as a quick effect if you do not control a monster with that name. This allows us to use Evil ★ Twin Lil-la as an interruption during our opponent's turn. Note that you are locked into Fiends the turn you use one of these Links' resurrection effects.
Evil★Twins Ki-sikil & Lil-la (0-2x)
The main monster of the archetype. One of our only turn 2 plays, we can summon it from either starter: Normal Summon Live☆Twin Ki-sikil , Special Summon Live☆Twin Lil-la from the Deck , Link becomes Evil★Twin Ki-sikil or Evil★Twin Lil-la , Special Summon the monster with the opposite name in the GY, Link becomes another Evil★Twin, and then Special Summon the first Link from the GY. Evil ★ Twins Ki-sikil & Lil-la is a 4400 ATK monster with a powerful removal effect, forcing the opponent to dismantle their field. This is especially useful in some matches but is not necessary to win, so use them as you wish.
Live☆Twin Sunny's Snitch (3x)
Another consistent card that can add any of our starters from the Deck to the hand, as well as increase damage and LP by a very small amount, which can be important in a long Duel. Like Secret Password , this is a free consistent card so we will need to play as much as possible.
Live☆Twin Home (0-3x)
Discard a card to Summon any of our "Ki-sikil" or "Lil-la" Monsters from the Deck, also locking you into Evil ★ Twins for the rest of your turn. Play up to 3 copies if you are playing a pure build, but builds for Link Disciple combos or any powerful Link-4 monsters are 0 recommended.
The remaining supports
The above cards are all Core and very strong, they will definitely always be present in the deck and its builds. However, there are still some support cards of the prototype line that give players quite a headache when building, let's take a look!
Evil★Twin Present (0-1x)
Present provides a pretty cool Creature Swap effect and frees up your Links to summon other oppositely named monsters from the GY or return a targeted Spell or Trap back to the Deck. Unfortunately even though you can search with Secret Password , this card is not very good, so play a copy, if necessary.
Other cards...
Handtrap
Live ☆ Twin is a control deck. Having at least 9 handtraps is the minimum you should be playing in a pure build, less if you're combining with an engine. Ash, Imperm and Maxx "C" should be your first choices , although Nibiru is great because it removes all your opponent's monsters for free, and with Evil ★ Twin Lil-la , you can destroy always its annoying token!
Parallel eXceed and Backup Secretary (Extra Extender)
Extenders you can use to perform other combos with the deck, Parallel eXceed is a good replacement for Link Disciple and Link Devotee combos if you want to use extra monsters from the Extra Deck. It also becomes Level 4 and Summons an additional copy from the Deck, giving you access to Xyz Rank 4, most notably Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir . Backup Secretary essentially works like extra copies of Live ☆ Twin Ki-sikil Frost .
Kaiju
Take care of problem bosses, whether it's the True King of All Calamities , Apollousa, Bow of the Goddess or Borreload Savage Dragon . The Kaiju will be there to save the day, or destroy it. Gadarla is a valuable pick due to its Rare level as well as its WIND Attribute, allowing it to sacrifice Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds , a card that can only be played in Lyrilusc decks.
Engine rút bài tăng thêm tính nhất quán
These are quite a few cards that allow "Draw 2 cards" that you can use for Twins.
- Pot of Desires is usable because we play 3 copies of our important cards,
- Triple Tactics Talent punishes opponents when reacting to your play
- Pot of Avarice gives the deck a more extended play.
- Cynet Mining is a simple consistency card that allows you to search for one of the Live ☆ Twins.
Forbidden Droplet and Enemy Controller (Một điều không ai ngờ tới...)
When you go 2nd, you can use these cards when you summon your Live☆Twin monster to counter your opponent's targeted cards. When they use Infinite Impermanence , use Forbidden Droplet , sending your own Live ☆ Twin to negate some of their monsters, while being able to summon another Live ☆ Twin. Since you have no monsters on the field after this point, the effect of another Live ☆ Twin Monster can activate and allow you to summon another one from the Deck! While E-con does the same thing, you can Tribute your Live ☆ Twin to steal your opponent's monster and Summon another Live ☆ Twin from the Deck, then you can use your monster opponent to summon Link! Ha! And you thought that a staple that only used Duel Links wouldn't be useful in Master Duel!
Artifact Scythe and Artifact Sanctum (Artifact)
Quite an interesting combo that will lock your opponent out of the Extra Deck. Place Scythe in your Spell & Trap Zone, then when their turn begins, destroy Scythe with the effect of Evil★Twin Lil-la . Your opponent can no longer summon from their Extra Deck this turn.
Extra Deck
Biệt đội Masquerena
I:P with Knightmare Links can cause you to add some interruptions during your opponent's turn. Knightmare Link are also just great Extra Deck monsters in general, that can be played in almost any deck with their great effects. With Live ☆ Twin ahead, you can easily set up I:P and Evil ★ Twin Ki-sikil on the field with Parallel eXceed or with Live ☆ Twin Ki-sikil Frost and the Link Disciple and Link Devotee engines. Additionally, since Evil★Twins themselves are quite selfish, Knightmare will come in handy when Evil★Twins lock your Extra Deck with only Fiends.
Link Disciple and Link Devotee (Combo Link)
When going first, this is a great mechanic to have as it can make you go into I:P Masquerena with Evil★Twin Ki-sikil on the field to have 2 ways to disrupt your opponent during their turn. However, this is only possible if you have an extender, whether it's Live ☆ Twin Ki-sikil Frost or Backup Secretary .
Các Link 4
Without Evil ★ Twin Link-4, the deck will struggle with dealing damage or simply defeating large monsters, so these cards really help your plans significantly . Borreload Links are just good general 4 Links, with Borrelsword Dragon being able to deal with any monster through combat and Borreload Dragon being able to steal your opponent's monsters. Accesscode Talker can reach up to 5300 ATK to clear your opponent's entire field as you usually have no problem filling your GY with Links. Unchained Abomination will help you clear the field and is also a good target to Link Summon with I:P Masquerena , not to mention it's also a Fiend. Apollousa is generally a great Link-4, capable of neutralizing your opponent's monsters multiple times.
Underworld Goddess of the Closed World (Cách đảm bảo để kết thúc lượt của đối thủ hoặc phá vỡ dàn sân của họ)
Underworld Goddess of the Closed World is a great Link Monster for the deck. Can Link your opponent's monster away, simultaneously negating their entire field AND preventing them from summoning it from the Graveyard. You can even do it during your opponent's turn with I:P Masquerena , which will usually almost guarantee they just make it to the End Phase.
Decode Talker and Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior (Link dành cho người nghèo...)
Pretty good options if you don't have any other Link monsters, you'll get them for free after clearing Solo modes (Ningirsu) and getting the Link Structure Deck (Decode Talker). Both have pretty good effects, with Ningirsu the World Chalice Warrior sending a card from both sides of the field down to the GY for non-target removal and Decode Talker giving you targeted protection!
Parallel eXceed and Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir (Combo Xyz chính)
One of the best turns you can make with this deck is Unchained Abomination combined with Bagooska. You negate all of your opponent's non-Link monsters, and also move them to defensive position to protect your monsters from battle, while your own Link monsters are unaffected due to not being able to move to the Defense position.
Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder, Downerd Magician and Sky Cavalry Centaurea (Xyz Package)
On your turn 2, if it's too risky to Link into Evil★Twin, you can go into Sky Cavalry Centaurea to return your opponent's monster to the hand, while continuing to go into Downerd Magician and then Divine Arsenal AA -ZEUS - Sky Thunder to get a free field wipe.
Deck variations and combos
Live/Evil Twins thuần
Main: 40 Extra: 15
In the TCG/OCG, the line has access to their main boss, Link-4, Evil ★ Twin's Trouble Sunny . Just with her release, Live ☆ Twins has become a competitive meta deck with or without some engine.
The absence of Trouble Sunny will certainly greatly affect the competitiveness of this deck, so in Master Duel we will rely on the engines to make the deck fairly competitive.
This is a pure version of the deck, relying solely on the power of Evil★Twin Lil-la and the power of generic Links to win some matches.

BASIC COMBO
Combo of 1 draw card and pop that you will use each match
- Normal Summon Live☆Twin Lil-la
- Lil-la's effect, Summon Live ☆ Twin Ki-sikil Frost from the Deck
- Link out Evil★Twin Ki-sikil , with her effect, special summons back Live ☆ Twin Lil-la from GY
- Link out Evil★Twin Lil-la , with her effect, special summon back Evil★Twin Ki-sikil from GY
- Since you summoned Ki-sikil while controlling Lil-la, you can draw a card!
- Link adds a new Ki-sikil, set your Trap if any and pass the turn.
Note: This is a 1-card combo when going first, with a 1-card combo going second, you should Link into Lil-la first to destroy a card instead of drawing a card. Also, use Live ☆ Twin Lil-la instead of Ki-sikil if possible.
Stay ahead with Parallel eXceed
Bagooska Abomination
- Recast Live ☆ Twin's One Card Combo, HOWEVER, instead of Linking out 2 Evil★Twins into another Evil★Twin Ki-sikil , instead Link out Unchained Abomination . (Make sure you draw a card with Evil★Twin Ki-sikil !)
- Parallel eXceed 's effect, special summons 1 card from the hand and another card from the Deck.
- Overlay 2 eXceed to Number 41: Bagooska the Terribly Tired Tapir
I:P Masq
- Perform a one-card combo of Live ☆ Twin
- After Link releases your second Evil★Twin Ki-sikil , summon Parallel eXceed to the field.
- Link the eXceed to I: P Masquerena
Honestly... Every combo will only be a 1-card combo but with quite a few extenders, as you can see from the 2-3 combos I've introduced up to this point...
Link Disciple
Cards required for combo: Live ☆ Twin Monster + Live ☆ Twin Frost / Treat or Backup Secretary
Your ending field should only be I:P Masquerena and an Evil★Twin monster, during your opponent's turn you should be able to destroy a card with Lil-la and return a card to the Deck with Knightmare Unicorn .
- Normal Summon Live☆Twin Lil-la (or Ki-sikil, doesn't matter). Now the monster you summon will depend on the extender you have. If you have Live ☆ Twin Ki-sikil Frost or Live ☆ Twin Lil-la Treat , then the monster you summon must be the normal variant of Treat / Frost because Live ☆ Twin Ki-sikil and Live☆Twin Lil- la in its regular form is CYBERSE. If you have Backup Secretary , summon Frost or Treat.
- You should now have 2 Cyberse monsters, Link both of them into Link Disciple and Link Devotee in order.
- Disciple effect, sacrifice Devotee, draw card and summon 2 tokens.
- Link tokens to I: P Masquerena .
- You should still have 1 Live☆Twin left, Link Disciple and another Live☆Twin into an Evil★Twin, and proceed to combo with both cards above.
Your ending field should only be I:P Masquerena and an Evil★Twin monster, during your opponent's turn you should be able to destroy a card with Lil-la and return a card to the Deck with Knightmare Unicorn .
Combos follow
- Perform a one-card combo of Live ☆ Twin, trying to destroy one card with Lil-la if possible. Now, your turn will depend entirely on whether you have extenders, Droplets, Triple Tactics or other techs. Let's say you have Parallel eXceed and your opponent has a monster you can't deal with, like Thunder Dragon Colossus (assuming you don't have Unicorn).
- Summon eXceed, and you should have about one or two Link-2s and two eXceeds on the field, with two eXceeds and one of the Links, you can Link out to the Underworld Goddess of the Closed World using your opponent's Colossus.
- Ez game ez life
Like I said, combos with this deck are easy, every combo you can have starts with a Normal summon Lil-la. Second step, you just need Accesscode, Underworld Goddess, Tribute Summon Evil ★ Twins Ki-sikil & Lil-la or Sky Cavalry into Downerd Zeus, all of which I mentioned are good enough for the deck.
Eldlich Version
Main: 41 Extra: 15
There's a pretty old story about how Live ☆ Twins were created for Eldlich because they worked so well together. Live ☆ Twin Home can discard 1 Eldlich card allowing you to activate their effects in the GY. With Evil ★ Twins being able to control the field and gain card advantage, it seems like pairing the two archetypes together will get you a top tier deck. And it is, because without Trouble Sunny in Master Duel, Eldlich Version is the most competitive variant of the deck.
Combos with this variant of the deck will remain the same, however, you will get a stronger field with this build, as Eldlich the Golden Lord can special summon himself by sending Spells or Traps without you control to GY (usually always Live ☆ Twin Sunny's Snitch or Cursed Eldland ). And when it is Summoned this way, you get a 3500 ATK meatball that can't be destroyed by card effects for both turns!
The special part about the Eldlich variant of the deck, is the fact that some people just immediately surrender when they witness the Golden Lord's divine form enter your GY.

Unchained Version
Main: 40 Extra: 15
Fun fact: Unchained and Live ☆ Twin were the original ways to play this deck when we didn't have Evil ★ Twin's Trouble Sunny , and guess what? Master Duel without Trouble Sunny! So this might actually be the best way to play the deck right now, who knows? It might be better than the Eldlich Variant. The best part is that Live, Evil and Unchained are all twins!
...does anyone know why they are called "Unchained Twins" even though there are 3 of them?
You know when I said the deck's spread is between Easy - Medium ? Hmph, then this deck has medium difficulty. Knowing what to do and what to Summon in the right scenario with your Unchained cards will be different every game. You must also know which area you must place your Links in so that their arrows are Linked with the Knightmare to ensure you do not lose card advantage. If you can set up the right combo, you will have 3-5 different forms of breaking during your opponent's turn!

Unchained Live Twins turn 1 combo
First combo
Cards needed: Any Live☆Twin and an Unchained Spell/Trap
- Set Unchained Spell or Trap.
- Continue doing the basic Live ☆ Twin combo, but instead of starting with Evil ★ Twin Ki-sikil , this time, you start with Evil ★ Twin Lil-la because you'll need her destruction effect for the combo This.
- Link Evil★Twin Lil-la and Evil★Twin Ki-sikil to Evil★Twin Ki-sikil , and immediately use his effect to Summon Lil-la back.
- With Lil-la's effect, destroy the set Unchained Spell/Trap
- Special Summon Abominable Unchained Soul from the Deck.
- With Unchained Soul and Lil-la, Link becomes Unchained Soul of Rage .
Second combo
Cards needed: One Live☆Twin, Unchained Twins - Aruha and one unchained spell/trap
- Set Unchained Spell/Trap
- Perform the Live ☆ Twin combo, as usual, making sure to draw a card with Evil ★ Twin Ki-sikil for the extra hand. Don't link them too quickly
- Activate the effect of Unchained Twins - Aruha to destroy the set spell/trap.
- Then, special summon Unchained Twins - Saram a from the deck.
- Activate Sarama's effect, returning the spell/trap you just destroyed to the field, and with that, destroy Aruha.
- When Aruha is destroyed, special summon A bombinable Unchained Soul to the field.
- Link Soul and Lil-la into Unchained Soul of Rage .
Combo for round two...
Quite similar to the combo on the first turn, remember that you can also activate the Unchained Soul of Rage and Evil ★ Twin Lil-la effects during your turn. But if you go second, you'll want to Link out Unchained Soul of Anguish because it gives you another way to use your opponent's monsters as Link materials. Of course, your turn 2 will depend entirely on what your opponent has on their field.
