Assault Mode are monsters that are "upgraded" from synchro monsters with the same name using the trap card Assault Mode Activate . Let's see what's special about this deck and how it can be combined with other cards.
Instructions on how to play the Assault Mode strategy (Assault Mode Activate!!!)
Sections covered in this guide:
Overview of the deck
Assault Mode are monsters that are "upgraded" from synchro monsters with the same name using the trap card Assault Mode Activate . This deck's gameplay focuses on synchro summoning and then "upgrading" these synchro monsters into their Assault Mode form. These monsters can only be summoned from the deck to the field and the most common Assault Mode monster is Stardust Dragon. Let's see how this deck has a way to summon synchro and how to deal with Assault Mode monsters.
Core
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode (Key monsters (play 3))
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode
ATK:
3000
DEF:
2500
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must first be Special Summoned with "Assault Mode Activate" and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways except by its own effect. When a card or effect is activated (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your GY. When this card on the field is destroyed: You can target 1 "Stardust Dragon" in your GY; Special Summon that target.
Assault Mode monsters have the following characteristics:
- A monster in the main deck.
- Can only be summoned from the deck by Assault Mode Activate or by their own effect.
- When this monster on the field is destroyed, you can summon its synchro version from the grave.
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode is the most useful Assault Mode monster and is the win condition of this strategy. This monster has the ability to negate the activation of cards as well as the effects of cards by sacrificing itself. Furthermore, at the end of the turn it uses this effect, this monster can be special summoned to the field again.
Assault Mode Activate and Stardust Dragon (Play 2 or 3)
Stardust Dragon
ATK:
2500
DEF:
2000
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters When a card or effect is activated that would destroy a card(s) on the field (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy it. During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your GY.
To summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode , you need to have a Stardust Dragon monster on the field and the trap card Assault Mode Activate .
Using the Assault Mode Activate card is a classic way to play as well as a characteristic of this strategy. The risk of this strategy is that Assault Mode monsters can only be special summoned from the deck, so Assault Mode monsters are almost -1 if you draw them to your hand.
Psi-Reflector (Play 3)
Psi-Reflector
ATK:
400
DEF:
300
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Assault Mode Activate", or 1 card that specifically lists "Assault Mode Activate" in its text, from your Deck to your hand, except "Psi-Reflector". You can reveal 1 "Assault Mode Activate" in your hand, then target 1 monster in your GY that specifically lists "Assault Mode Activate" in its text, except "Psi-Reflector"; Special Summon it, and if you do, increase its Level by 1 to 4. You can only use each effect of "Psi-Reflector" once per turn.
This strategy can now be played a lot easier thanks to the introduction of the Psi-Reflector monster.
When summoned (normal summon or special summon), you can take from your deck and put into your hand 1 Assault Mode Activate or a card that mentions Assault Mode Activate in the effects section.
With this effect, you can almost access most Assault Mode cards very easily. This also makes this monster the most important monster in your deck.
Not stopping there, Psi-Reflector on the field can also revive a monster whose effect section mentions Assault Mode Activate (related to Assault Mode Activate ) by showing the opponent an Assault Mode Activate on the field. your hand, you can then also adjust the level of the summoned monster.
Emergency Teleport and One for One (Support)
Psi-Reflector is a level 1 Psychic monster, so related supports like One For One or Emergency Teleport also contribute a lot to the combo.
Assault Beast (Play 1 or 2)
Assault Beast is a monster that allows you to add Assault Mode Activate from your deck to your hand by discarding it from your hand to the grave.
Although this is a monster that can help you get cards from the deck into your hand, as well as being the most important combo card, you only need to play 1 of this monster in the deck because this monster can be picked up. It's easy and you only need to use Assault Mode Activate once to complete the deck's winning conditions. In the later stages of the game, Psi-Reflector will replace this monster to help you pull other cards in the clan.
Assault Sentinel (Play 3)
Assault Sentinel
ATK:
1600
DEF:
800
You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Deck that specifically lists "Assault Mode Activate" in its text, except "Assault Sentinel", also you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck for the rest of this turn, except Synchro Monsters. You can target 1 face-up monster you control; reveal 1 Synchro Monster in your Extra Deck, and if you do, the targeted monster's Type and Attribute become the same as the revealed monster's, until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Assault Sentinel" once per turn.
Assault Sniper can sacrifice itself on the field to bring 1 monster related to Assault Mode Activate from the deck or hand onto the field. You can summon Psi-Reflector with this effect.
Fire Formation - Tenki (Support)
Tenki is a powerful support card for most decks that play Beast-Warrior monsters. With Tenki , you can easily get monsters like Assault Beast or Assault Sniper into your hand for your combo.
Other supports
Infinite Impermanence, Maxx "C" and Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring (Hand trap)
Infinite Impermanence
Target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; negate its effects (until the end of this turn), then, if this card was Set before activation and is on the field at resolution, for the rest of this turn all other Spell/Trap effects in this column are negated. If you control no cards, you can activate this card from your hand.
Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring
ATK:
0
DEF:
1800
When a card or effect is activated that includes any of these effects (Quick Effect): You can discard this card; negate that effect. ● Add a card from the Deck to the hand. ● Special Summon from the Deck. ● Send a card from the Deck to the GY. You can only use this effect of "Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring" once per turn.
Crossout Designator and Called by the Grave (Prevent hand traps)
Crossout Designator
Declare 1 card name; banish 1 of that declared card from your Main Deck, and if you do, negate its effects, as well as the activated effects and effects on the field of cards with the same original name, until the end of this turn. You can only activate 1 "Crossout Designator" per turn.
Solemn Judgment, Solemn Strike and Torrential Tribute (Trap cards)
Fire Ant Ascator, Ascator and Dawnwalker (Mini engine)
Ascator, Dawnwalker
ATK:
2300
DEF:
1500
You can discard 1 card; Special Summon this card from your hand in Defense Position, then you can Special Summon 1 "Fire Ant Ascator" from your hand or Deck. You cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck the turn you activate this effect, except Synchro Monsters. You can only use this effect of "Ascator, Dawnwalker" once per turn.
Using engines that support fast synchro summoning helps you get other monsters besides Stardust Dragon .
With the Ascator engine, you can easily get a level 8 synchro monster with just 1 Ascator monster, Dawnwalker and 1 random card in your hand (as cost).
It should be noted that during the entire turn you use this monster's effect, you can only summon synchro monsters from the extra deck.
The weakness of this engine is that you need to play the Fire Ant Ascator monster to maximize the power of this engine and this monster can do almost nothing when drawn to your hand.
Other synchro monsters
Coral Dragon
ATK:
2400
DEF:
500
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters Once per turn: You can discard 1 card, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. If this Synchro Summoned card is sent from the field to the GY: You can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Coral Dragon" once per turn.
PSY-Framelord Omega
ATK:
2800
DEF:
2200
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters Once per turn, during the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can banish both this face-up card from the field and 1 random card from your opponent's hand, face-up, until your next Standby Phase. Once per turn, during your opponent's Standby Phase: You can target 1 banished card; return it to the GY. If this card is in your GY: You can target 1 other card in the GY; shuffle both that card and this card from the GY into the Deck.
Stardust Charge Warrior
ATK:
2000
DEF:
1300
1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monsters When this card is Synchro Summoned: You can draw 1 card. You can only use this effect of "Stardust Charge Warrior" once per turn. This card can attack all Special Summoned monsters your opponent controls, once each.
Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend
ATK:
3000
DEF:
2500
1 Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters This card's name becomes "Red Dragon Archfiend" while it is on the field or in the GY. Once per turn: You can destroy as many Special Summoned Effect Monsters on the field as possible with ATK less than or equal to this card's (other than this card), then inflict 500 damage to your opponent for each monster destroyed.

During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your GY.
The ultimate goal of this Assault Mode strategy is to summon the Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode monster. This monster will negate the opponent's effects once per turn and also have a large body to punch in the battle phase. This monster can be summoned with a 1-card combo, Psi-Reflector .
Assault Mode Activate, Assault Beast and Psi-Reflector (Combo 1 card)
Psi-Reflector
ATK:
400
DEF:

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Assault Mode Activate", or 1 card that specifically lists "Assault Mode Activate" in its text, from your Deck to your hand, except "Psi-Reflector". You can reveal 1 "Assault Mode Activate" in your hand, then target 1 monster in your GY that specifically lists "Assault Mode Activate" in its text, except "Psi-Reflector"; Special Summon it, and if you do, increase its Level by 1 to 4. You can only use each effect of "Psi-Reflector" once per turn.
Cards in hand: 1 Psi-Reflector
- Normal summon Psi-Reflector from hand.
- Use Psi-Reflector 's effect when summoned, add Assault Beast from your deck to your hand.
- Continue using Assault Beast , discard this monster from your hand to the Graveyard to get 1 Assault Mode Activate from your deck to your hand.
- Activate Psi-Reflector 's on-field effect, reveal Assault Mode Activate from hand, summon Assault Beast from the grave, then increase Assault Beast's level by 3.
- Synchro summon Stardust Dragon with Psi-Reflector (level 1) and Assault Beast (level 7).
- Place Assault Mode Activate on the field. You can use this card to sacrifice Stardust Dragon and summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode from the deck.
Emergency Teleport, One for One and Assault Sentinel (Supports revolve around tactics)
Supports that help you increase your odds of performing this combo:
- Assault Sentinel can sacrifice itself to summon Psi-Reflector from the deck. This monster can also be taken from the deck to the hand thanks to the card Fire Formation – Tenki .
- Emergency Teleport and One for One (need 1 monster in hand as cost) can summon Psi-Reflector straight from the deck, you still have 1 normal summon after the combo.

During the End Phase, if this effect was activated this turn (and was not negated): You can Special Summon this card from your GY.
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode has an unlimited number of effect activations per turn. Taking advantage of this, you can call out many Stardust Dragon/Assault Modes, making the opponent more disadvantaged.
Trap cards that can summon monsters from the grave ( Back to the Front ) can help you summon Stardust Dragon again (after successfully synchro summoning) to continue as a sacrifice for Assault Mode Activate .
- However, these cards cannot special summon Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode .

2 monsters, including a Tuner If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower Tuner from your hand or Deck in Defense Position, but it cannot activate its effects this turn. During your opponent's Main Phase or Battle Phase (Quick Effect): You can banish this card you control; Special Summon 1 Tuner Synchro Monster from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Synchro Summon.) You can only use each effect of "Crystron Halqifibrax" once per turn.

Because there is no summoning limit for the Psi-Reflector combo, the “Assault Mode package” (3 Psi-Reflectors , 1 Assault Beast , 1 Assault Mode Activate ) is also used in some decks to quickly summon monsters. Synchro monsters 6, 7, 8, 9 often use this combo to get free materials for link monsters.
In the Assault Mode deck itself, you can also take advantage of this to play in the mid and late stages of the game or create a surprise if your strategy is caught by the opponent right away in Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode . However, you also need to pay attention to avoid restrictions from other cards in the deck because this is a deck that focuses on synchro summoning.
Infinite Impermanence, Nibiru, the Primal Being and PSY-Framegear Gamma (Hand traps)
Nibiru, the Primal Being
ATK:
3000
DEF:

During the Main Phase, if your opponent Normal or Special Summoned 5 or more monsters this turn (Quick Effect): You can Tribute as many face-up monsters on the field as possible, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand, then Special Summon 1 "Primal Being Token" (Rock/LIGHT/Level 11/ATK ?/DEF ?) to your opponent's field. (This Token's ATK/DEF become the combined original ATK/DEF of the Tributed monsters.) You can only use this effect of "Nibiru, the Primal Being" once per turn.
PSY-Framegear Gamma
ATK:
1000
DEF:
0
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by a card effect. When your opponent activates a monster effect while you control no monsters (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon both this card from your hand and 1 "PSY-Frame Driver" from your hand, Deck, or GY, and if you do, negate that activation, and if you do that, destroy that monster. During the End Phase, banish the face-up monsters Special Summoned by this effect.
Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode will sacrifice itself to activate its effect, which can greatly facilitate your use of hand traps when you empty the field from your hand.
- After Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode jumps, when your field is clear of monsters, Gamma will be able to activate its effect .
- Nibiru almost exclusively sacrifices the opponent's monsters.
- Infinite Impermanence will also have some ability to be used from the hand in this strategy.

When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can target 1 Tuner in your GY; Special Summon it in Defense Position. You can only use each effect of "Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss" once per turn.
Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake
ATK:
3000
DEF:
2800
1 WIND Machine Tuner + 1+ non-Tuner monsters If this card is Synchro Summoned: You can activate 1 of these effects; ● Destroy all other cards on the field. ● Negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent currently controls. If this card in your possession is sent to your GY by an opponent's card: You can add 1 "Speedroid" monster from your Deck to your hand. You can only use each effect of "Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake" once per turn.
Monsters in the Assault Mode strategy have the ability to strongly support synchro summoning. You can take advantage of this to create other strong monsters for your deck's backup strategy.
Assault Sentinel is a monster that can help you change the type and attribute of the monster to help you create powerful synchro monsters more easily.

- TG Halberd Cannon/Assault Mode can negate the summon of your opponent's monster each turn, removing that monster along with all other special summoned monsters on their field.
- Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode can destroy all monsters in the battle phase after attacking.

You can target 1 face-up monster you control; reveal 1 Synchro Monster in your Extra Deck, and if you do, the targeted monster's Type and Attribute become the same as the revealed monster's, until the end of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Assault Sentinel" once per turn.

Arcanite Magician/Assault Mode and Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode can be utilized as they are easily summoned with Assault Mode Activate .
Arcanite Magician can also shoot cards on the field and is summoned more easily thanks to Assault Sentinel.
Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode, when destroyed, can summon Scarlight Red Dragon Archfiend from the grave (an upgraded version of Red Dragon Archfiend , this monster is counted as Red Dragon Archfiend while in the grave).
TG Halberd Cannon/Assault Mode can be summoned using the Assault Reboot card.
Assault Mode Zero, Assault Teleport and Assault Reboot (How to deal with Assault Mode monsters in hand)
Assault Mode Zero
Tribute 1 Synchro Monster; Special Summon 1 "/Assault Mode" monster from your hand whose name includes the Tributed monster's name. (This is treated as a Special Summon with "Assault Mode Activate".) During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your GY; Set 1 "Assault Mode Activate" directly from your hand or Deck. It can be activated this turn. You can only use each effect of "Assault Mode Zero" once per turn.
Assault Reboot
Tribute 1 "/Assault Mode" monster; Special Summon 1 "/Assault Mode" monster from your Deck with a different name in Defense Position, ignoring its Summoning conditions. You can banish this card from your GY, then target any number of cards in your GY, with different names, that are "Assault Mode Activate" and/or specifically list "Assault Mode Activate" in their text, except "Assault Reboot"; shuffle them into the Deck. You can only use each effect of "Assault Reboot" once per turn.
Assault Mode Activate can only summon Assault Mode monsters from the DECK. This will cause quite a bit of difficulty if you draw Assault Mode monsters to your hand.
Assault Mode Zero can help you summon Assault Mode monsters from your hand (exceptions). Additionally, by discarding this card from the Graveyard, you can place 1 Assault Mode Activate directly from your deck (or hand) on the field and make that card playable during the turn it is placed face down. This card can help you summon up to 2 Assault Mode monsters easily in just 1 turn.
Use Assault Mode monsters in your hand as cost and send them to the grave, Assault Reboot can help you return them to the deck with this card's effect.
Assault Teleport is a +0 card that can help you return Assault Mode monsters from your hand to the deck. However, this card will be very difficult to use because you have no way to quickly get this card from the deck into your hand.

Assault Mode monsters can ONLY be summoned FROM THE DECK with the Assault Mode Activate trap card (or with their own effect).
Assault Counter and Assault Teleport (It is necessary to distinguish the supports of this card clan)
Cards like Assault Teleport , Assault Counter cannot be added to the hand through the effect of Psi-Reflector or similar cards because you can only take cards that have " Assault Mode Activate " in the effect description, not not “/Assault Mode”.
Epilogue
Engine Psi-Reflector, Assault Beast, Assault Mode Activate do not have any summon limit restrictions, allowing you to easily combo and combine many other great combos. Hope you will have interesting experiences with this deck.
