To say the least, this deck is much cheaper than Agent or Darkfluid even though it's the same box. Besides, there's Tier 3, so why not play a cheap and delicious deck?
Instructions for playing Sunavalon
Sections covered in this guide:
Introduce
Welcome to Sunavalon, a deck of cards originating from the Anime Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS. If you like complex 1-card combos and continuous Links, then this might be the deck for you!
By starting with just a single copy of our signature monster, Sunseed Genius Loci , Sunavalon takes full advantage of the deck's cards and combos, creating a field that is difficult to overcome. .
Looking at the photo above, we can see that Sunavalon's ability to burn combos in other formats is very high. However, in Duel Links, too few boxes and not allowing Extra Link Summon has prevented Sunavalon from reaching the tier 1 position. But anyway, it is still very strong in Duel Link thanks to the additional Skill, don't go around anymore, just go to the guide section. always lead.

You can only use this Skill's second and third effects once per Duel. 1: At the beginning of the Duel, add 1 each of 3 "Sunvine" monsters with different names to your Extra Deck. During this Duel, you cannot Special Summon monsters, except EARTH Plant monsters or Link Monsters. 2: Shuffle 1 monster from your hand into the Deck, and then add 1 "Sunvine" Effect Monster or "Sunseed" Effect Monster from your Deck to your hand. 3: If a monster is on your opponent's field, shuffle 1 Plant monster from your hand, face-up field, Graveyard, or among your banished cards into the Deck, and then you can play 1 "Sunseed Genius Loci" from your Deck to your field in face-down Defense Position. (Its battle position can be changed.)
First, we have to take a look at the skills section. Skills reserved for decks of course must be used.
- Adding 3 Sunvine cards to the Extra deck, we really only need to care about Sunvine Thrasher and Sunvine Healer, the remaining cards are rarely summoned.
- The ability to support gives us a bit of stability for the deck, preventing deadhand by exchanging 1 card in hand to the deck ( Note that we can only take Effect monsters from the Deck, we cannot add Sunseed Genius Loci cards ).
- This third effect requires the enemy to have a monster on the field, so it can only be used when we go to turn 2 or turn 3. Not only does it restore stock but it also helps us summon 1 Free Sunseed Genius Loci from the deck to be able to continue. continue to combo (except this time Loci will be in a face-down position, which means when flipped up, we can eat Floodgate Traphole, or some other Disruption, from which it cannot be used to let Link go

that fatal weakness)
Important cards in the Main Deck
Sunseed Genius Loci (x3)
This humble normal card is the beginning of all the deck's combos. You really need to see this card in the Opening Hand, otherwise you will most likely be helpless in that game (If you go turn 1). Therefore, it is expected that you will have to play at least 8 copies (between itself and the searchers for it) in the list of 20 cards, to increase your chances of having a hand, against deadhand.
Loci Searcher
Unexpected Dai (3)
One for One (0-1)
Painful Decision (1)
Lonefire Blossom (0-1)
The aforementioned Loci Searchers - these are the best cards in the searchable group. Due to the limit of 20 cards, I usually only choose Dai and Painful D
Sunvine Sowing (x1-2)
Sunvine Sowing
Special Summon 1 "Sunseed" monster from your Deck, and if you do, take 1000 damage. If you control no "Sunavalon" Link Monsters, you can only Special Summon "Sunseed Genius Loci" with this effect. For the rest of this turn after this card resolves, you cannot Special Summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Plant monsters. If a Plant Link Monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only activate 1 "Sunvine Sowing" per turn.
The reason we currently have 1 combo card; Sowing allows you to summon Sunseed Twin from your Deck, while also activating the effect of the Sunavalon monster. You can add this card to your hand with Link 1, meaning a Loci can set up to 4 Plant cards on the field.
Sunseed Twin (x1-2)
Sunseed Twin
ATK:
0
DEF:
800
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned while you control a "Sunavalon" Link Monster: You can target 1 Level 4 or lower Plant Normal Monster in your GY; Special Summon it. You can banish this card in your GY and 1 Link Monster you control; if you have 2 or more Plant Link Monsters with the same name as each other in your GY, Special Summon 1 of them. You can only use each effect of "Sunseed Twin" once per turn.
The main goal of Sunvine Sowing . Normally you will only use this card once, but it will be difficult to combo if you no longer have a copy of this card in your Deck to use Sowing, so we will x2 it to reduce the chance of that happening.
If after x1 it accidentally appears in your hand, then perhaps the only thing that can save you is Unexpected Dai :)
Sunseed Shadow (x1)
Sunseed Shadow
ATK:
0
DEF:
400
If you control a Plant Normal Monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can banish this card from your GY, then target 1 linked Link-2 or lower "Sunavalon" or "Sunvine" monster you control; Special Summon 1 monster with the same name from your Extra Deck, but negate its effects, also you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn, except Plant monsters. You can only use each effect of "Sunseed Shadow" once per turn.
This card shortens our combo a bit, it also has the ability to summon itself as a body for Link to add. In addition, when in the grave, we can banish it to add 1 Link 2 card or lower to the field, meaning by Maxing from 1 Link 2 card we can immediately call out that Link 4.
Sunvine Maiden (x1-2)
Sunvine Maiden
ATK:

DEF:

When your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a Plant monster(s) you control that was Special Summoned from the Extra Deck (Quick Effect): You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, negate that effect. You can only use this effect of "Sunvine Maiden" once per turn. Your opponent cannot target "Sunavalon" or "Sunvine" Spells/Traps you control with card effects.
Sunvine Maiden is a form of Handtrap-Extender (both a Handtrap and can add body to the field). It can Negate effects targeting your Boss Links, so if you want to combo safely and smoothly, you must have it on hand.
Sunavalon Bloom (x1)
Sunavalon Bloom
When this card is activated: If you control a Link-4 or higher Plant monster when this effect resolves, negate the effects of all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls. During damage calculation, if your Plant Link Monster battles: You can activate this effect; it gains ATK equal to the combined ATK of monsters it currently points to, until the end of this turn. (These effects remain even if this card leaves the field.) You can only use this effect of "Sunavalon Bloom" once per turn. You can only activate 1 "Sunavalon Bloom" per turn.
This Countinuous Trap (which can be easily added to the hand) gives us the ability to completely disable all of our opponent's monsters at once (permanently). Additionally, it can increase the ATK of Plant-type Link Monsters by the total ATK of the monsters it points at, allowing us to overcome almost anything in battle.
Tech Card
Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill
ATK:
0
DEF:
1800
If your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) face-up (except during the Damage Step): You can discard this card, then target 1 of those face-up monsters; negate its effects until the end of this turn, also if that face-up monster leaves the field this turn, its controller takes damage equal to its original ATK. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill" once per turn.
Artifact Lancea
ATK:
1700
DEF:
2300
You can Set this card from your hand to your Spell & Trap Zone as a Spell. During your opponent's turn, if this Set card in the Spell & Trap Zone is destroyed and sent to your GY: Special Summon it. During your opponent's turn (Quick Effect): You can Tribute this card from your hand or face-up field; neither player can banish cards for the rest of this turn.
A strong Deck cannot lack these Tech cards. We will need Handtraps to interrupt the enemy's combo, and Counter Backrow cards like MST and Forbidden Lance will help our combo go smoothly.
Extra Deck

Sunavalon Dryas

LINK-1

1 Level 4 or lower Plant monster If this card is Link Summoned in the Extra Monster Zone using "Sunseed Genius Loci" as material: You can add 1 "Sunvine" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. This card cannot be targeted for attacks, but does not prevent your opponent from attacking you directly. Once per turn, if you take battle or effect damage: You can gain that much LP, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Sunvine" monster from your Extra Deck.
Dryas is the main architect of the entire song's style. That is Link 1 card, if summoned to the Extra Monster Zone with Loci, will immediately add 1 Spell/Trap Sunvine to the hand ( not once per turn) . Usually, the card we add will be Sunvine Sowing.
Sunvine Healer (Skill)

1 Plant Normal Monster If a "Sunavalon" Link Monster you control leaves the field by card effect: Destroy this card. If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 "Sunavalon" Link Monster on the field; gain LP equal to its Link Rating x 300. When your Plant Link Monster inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can gain 600 LP.
Healer is a card with unimpressive abilities, but it is a must-have combo piece. You need a Sunvine monster to summon through Sunavalon Dryas , and Healer is perfect because it gives you LP.

2+ Plant monsters, including a Link Monster If this card is Link Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 "Sunseed Genius Loci" from your GY. This card cannot be targeted for attacks, but does not prevent your opponent from attacking you directly. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Sunvine" Link Monster you control that this card points to; this turn, it can attack a number of times each Battle Phase, up to the number of "Sunavalon" Link Monsters you currently control.
Melias is an incredibly slow Link climbing tool, with the ability to revive Loci an unlimited number of times when it is Link Summoned. Melias is what makes additional Linking so easy for us, but it is also sometimes used for comebacks or OTKs. It allows Sunvine monsters to attack once for each Sunavalon Link monster you control. You can very easily create a Sunavalion Thrasher with 3200 ATK that attacks 3 times!

2+ Link Monsters If this card is Link Summoned: You can add 1 "Sunavalon" Spell/Trap from your Deck to your hand. This card cannot be destroyed by your opponent's card effects, and cannot be targeted for attacks, but does not prevent your opponent from attacking you directly. Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 Link Monster this card points to; destroy any number of cards your opponent controls, up to that monster's Link Rating.
This is the boss in the Sunavalon theme (there is an appearance screen). Is a Link 4 Search Spell/Trap Sunavalon and by sacrificing a Plant-type Link Monster, it can destroy cards your opponent controls equal to its Link rating (not targeted).

2 Plant monsters, including a "Sunavalon" Link Monster This card cannot be targeted for attacks, but does not prevent your opponent from attacking you directly. Twice per turn, if you take battle or effect damage: You can gain that much LP, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Sunvine" monster from your Extra Deck.
Although this card cannot search for Spell/Trap like Dryas Link 1, the second effect is quite similar to that Link 1 card. We mainly combine this card with Sunseed Shadow to quickly call 2 Link 2 to combine to create Link 4 (I mentioned above).
Sunvine Thrasher (x1)

1 Plant Normal Monster If a "Sunavalon" Link Monster you control leaves the field by card effect: Destroy this card. If this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 "Sunavalon" Link Monster on the field; this card gains ATK equal to that monster's Link Rating x 800. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the GY: You can Special Summon that monster to your zone a Link Monster points to, but negate its effects.

2+ Plant monsters During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can target 1 Effect Monster your opponent controls; take damage equal to its ATK, and if you did take damage, return it to the hand. If this card is in your GY: You can banish 2 or more Link Monsters from your GY whose combined Link Ratings equal exactly 4; Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field. You can only use 1 "Benghalancer the Resurgent" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
Although not Sunavalon, Benghalancer is the true Boss of the deck. This is another Link 4 card, but with the Interrupt Ability (Quick Effect) that pushes your opponent's monster back to their hand, and activates Sunavalon Dryas 's effect to summon Sunvine monsters. It's great as part of the Endboard and even better in easy bets (childish bully style) - especially since it can respawn itself from the GY.

- Link 1 summons Sunavalon Dyras into the Extra Monster Zone
- Activate Dyras' effect, add Sunvine Sowing to hand

This combo will be exactly the same as the combo I just mentioned above but will be different in the last step (12)
- Instead of using Melias + Loci to Link to Benghlancer, I will keep Melias intact
- Link 1 Thrasher (Go to the box below Sunavalon Dryatrentiay) with Loci on the field
- Activate Melias's ability, target Thrasher
