Overview & gameplay
Mayakashi is a deck of cards with the gameplay of summoning bosses by leveling up. The deck's Tuner can continuously rise from the grave to help you summon synchro combos. When the boss is destroyed, the Mayakashi will lose their level, synchro Mayakashi monsters will be summoned from the grave if a higher level monster is destroyed. Additionally when Mayakashi synchro monsters are summoned from the grave, each monster can activate its own effect.

Dakki is Mayakashi's main tuner monster.
Dakki can be re-summoned from the grave when you special summon a Mayakashi monster from your extra deck. However, in return, during that turn, you are only allowed to special summon the Mayakashi monster from the extra deck.

Yuki-Musume can be special summoned from the grave or in your hand if you have Mayakashi monsters, spells, or traps on the field. After summoning, you must send 1 zombie monster from the deck to the grave.
Summoning Yuki-Musume without consuming your normal summon will make your combos easier when you have Dakki available on the field.
Mayakashi Return (x3)
(first) Take 1 "Mayakashi" card from your Deck, except "Mayakashi Return", and either add it to your hand or send it to the GY . You can only activate 1 "Mayakashi Return" per turn. |
Mayakashi Return allows you to get any Mayakashi combo (monster, spell, trap) piece into your hand or send them to the grave. This is a card that helps Mayakashi increase connectivity and is easy to activate without requiring any additional conditions.
Mayakashi Winter (x2-3)

Monsters your opponent controls lose 100 ATK/DEF for each "Mayakashi" monster with a different name in your GY. You can only use 1 of the following effects of "Mayakashi Winter" per turn, and only once that turn. ● Send this card and 1 "Mayakashi" monster you control to the GY; draw 1 card. ● Banish this card and 1 Zombie monster from your GY, then target 1 "Mayakashi" monster in your GY; Special Summon it.

You can only use 1 of 2 effects (2) or (3) of Mayakashi Winter during the turn.
You can send this card on the field and Yuki-Musume or Dakki go to the Graveyard to draw 1 more card. Because the two monsters Dakki and Yuki-Musume can both be summoned from the grave, you will not incur losses when using this effect.
If this card is in the grave, you can banish this card and 1 other zombie monster to revive any Mayakashi monster from the grave. Mayakashi Return can send Mayakashi Winter from the deck to the grave very easily, allowing you to perform this effect at any time. The cost of this effect is not limited to banishing only Mayakashi monsters so you can banish other unnecessary zombie monsters.

After Mayakashi synchro monsters are summoned from the grave, they can activate the following effects:

- Tengu (level 7): shoots 1 spell, the enemy's trap does not target.
- Yoko (level 9): shoots 1 opponent's monster without targeting.

Mayakashi's gameplay is to continuously synchro summon Mayakashi monsters by looping Dakki .
Oboro-Guruma is the lowest level Mayakashi synchro monster (summoned with Dakki and Yuki-Musume ). Then from Oboro-Guruma , Mayakashi monsters will level up from 3 to 5, 7, 9 thanks to Dakki 's effect of continuously jumping back onto the field.
As a result, your final field will have 1 Yoko with 2900 field turret ATK and 1 Dakki that can be used as a cost for trap cards to disrupt the opponent.
In your grave there are 3 Mayakashi monsters that can be revived: Tengu , Tsuchigumo and Oboro-Guruma .
- If the opponent destroys your Yoko , Tengu will be able to revive and at the same time activate the enemy's spell and trap effect.
- If your Tengu continues to be defeated, Tsuchigumo will be raised from the grave. Tsuchigumo 's effect helps you send necessary cards to the grave for the next turn such as Yuki-Musume , Mayakashi Winter . However, you need to consider when using this effect because it will also affect the opponent. Sending 3 cards from the top of the deck to the grave will create an advantage for some other decks.
- Oboro-Guruma is the last monster summoned after Tsuchigumo is destroyed, and no more monsters can be summoned again after Oboro-Guruma is destroyed. The ability to not be destroyed by battle in 1 turn can help you survive somewhat during the opponent's turn.
Summary : Find a way to summon Yoko and summon the Mayakashi from the grave when Yoko is destroyed to help you stay on the field.

To perform this combo, you need 2 monsters in your hand: Dakki and Yuki-Musume . Mayakashi Return will help you add the remaining monster to your hand. Yuki-Musume can be summoned from the grave so it does not need to be in hand.
- Normal summon Dakki .
- Special Summon Yuki-Musume from hand or grave. Note that to summon Yuki-Musume , your deck must have a zombie monster for Yuki-Musume to send to the grave.
- Synchro summon Oboro-Guruma with Dakki and Yuki-Musume .
- Grave Dakki can activate the effect when a Mayakashi monster is summoned from the extra deck. Special summon Dakki to the field again.
- Since Dakki 's effect has an unlimited number of activations per turn, you can continue to resummon Dakki after synchro summoning Tsuchigumo with Dakki and Oboro-Guruma .

Yuki-Musume is a Gozuki that does not cost a normal summon during your turn, however Yuki-Musume has an effect that prevents you from summoning another monster Mayakashi from the extra deck while this monster is still on the field.
You can use Yuki-Musume to send a suitable monster to the Graveyard to combo with Spectralsword . Skill: See You Later! Helps you push Yuki-Musume back to your hand and you will be able to summon other Shiranui monsters.
