Instructions for playing Melodious

Should a newbie play: if you are a meta's slave
Should you play F2P: no (because building is very expensive and is tier 1 so it's easy to get hammered by Konami)

Summary: Melodious is a LIGHT Fairy deck used by the character Yuzu in ARC-V. In Duel Links, this deck is strong because it is easy to play thanks to Ostinato, 3 diverse bosses (Control, OTK,...) including Bloom Diva who is immortal by destroying and not taking damage and then causing damage to the opponent. defense. There is a skill that allows searching from the deck to the field and has an annoying handtrap. And here is a more in-depth discussion:

At the beginning of the Duel, add 1 "Soprano the Melodious Songstress" and 1 "Crystal Rose" to your Deck. Then, add 1 "Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir" to your Extra Deck. In addition, the following effect can be used if you have "Crystal Rose" on your field. Return all of your banished, Fusion Monsters to your Extra Deck. This Skill can only be used once per Duel.

Mainly used by F2P decks, the effects are as follows:

At the start of the Duel, add 1 "Soprano the Melodious Songstress" and 1 "Crystal Rose" to your Deck. Then, add 1 "Bloom Diva the Melodious Choir" to your Extra Deck. Additionally, the following effect can be used if you have "Crystal Rose" on your field. Return all of your banished, Fusion Monsters to your Extra Deck. This skill can only be used once per Battle.

Send 1 face-up monster you control whose original name includes "Melodious" to your Graveyard. Then, play 1 "Melodious Maestra" monster from your Deck/Graveyard to your field whose original Level is higher than that of the monster sent to the Graveyard. This Skill can only be used if you begin the Duel with a Deck/Extra Deck that contains no monsters other than "Melodious" monsters. Can be used once per Duel.

With the ability to send 1 Melodious to the grave to search directly for 1 Maestra from the deck or grave to the field, if you search Shopina you will get +1, the effect is as follows:

Send 1 face-up monster you control whose initial name includes "Melodious" to your Graveyard. Then, play 1 "Melodious Maestra" monster from the Deck / Graveyard to your field whose initial Level is higher than the Level of the monster sent to the Graveyard. This skill can only be used if you start Duel with a Deck/Extra Deck that contains no monsters other than a "Melodious" monster. Can be used once per Match.

When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 "Melodious" monster in your Graveyard, except "Soprano the Melodious Songstress"; add it to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Soprano the Melodious Songstress" once per turn. Once per turn: You can Fusion Summon 1 "Melodious" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as Fusion Materials, including this card.

Score has a very powerful ability that not only protects Melodious monsters but also helps turn the odds. If your Melodious monster is attacked, you can throw this card to the grave in the damage step (bonus: in the damage step only the effect changes attack stat is activated), the opponent's monster will have 0 ATK and DEF until the end of the turn.

Soprano is a very versatile monster that has two powerful abilities as follows:
[1] When it is special summoned, you can add 1 Melodious monster from the Graveyard to your hand except itself.
[2] You can Fusion Summon 1 Melodious monster from your Extra Deck by using monsters on the field including itself.
You can use each effect [1] and [2] once per turn.
With the [1] ability, the priority items you pick up from the grave are Score or Sonata , then pick up the other ones.
With ability [2] it helps you avoid bricks instead of bringing poly like before and ability [2] combines very well with Sonata .

Sonata has the ability to summon itself to the field from your hand if you control a Melodious monster and is not limited to once per turn, and if this card is special summoned to the field all Fairy monsters gain 500 ATK, DEF. People mainly use Sonata 's ability 1 in this meta and Sonata is brought into the deck to optimize Soprano's ability to summon bosses to the field as quickly as possible.

Ostinato is a very powerful spell. As long as you don't control a monster, you can fusion summon a Melodious monster in the Extra Deck by using cards in your hand or grave as you like, but the summoned monster will be destroyed. end of turn. You can summon Bloom Diva because Bloom Diva cannot be destroyed, so this card cannot destroy Bloom Diva . Or you can summon a Melodious monster from another Extra Deck. If that monster is destroyed by Ostinato , you can summon the materials used to fuse this card from the Graveyard to get body defense for the next turn.

Shopina is a card that goes very well with the From Songstress To Maestra skill. For example, if you summon Score and use Score to activate the skill and summon Shopina , Shopina will use the effect to get Score from the grave to your hand, so you have both a cancer handtrap and a body monster with 2k3 ATK. to def. But you have to suffer Shopina 's side effect, which is that this turn can only activate the effects of LIGHT-type monsters.

Mozarta allows you to summon 1 Fairy monster from your hand, but its side effect is that you only activate the effects of LIGHT monsters this turn. As above, if you use Score to summon Mozarta , then Mozarta special summons Shopina and Shopina takes Score back to your hand, you will have 2 sandbags to defend and 1 extremely powerful handtrap. Mozarta is not as highly appreciated by professional players as Shopina , but Mozarta can special summon Soprano to fusion summon the boss in 1 turn.

1 "Melodious Maestra" monster + 1 "Melodious" monster Cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects, also you take no battle damage from attacks involving this card. If this card battles a Special Summoned monster, after damage calculation: You can inflict damage to your opponent equal to the difference between the original ATK of that opponent's monster and this card, and if you do, destroy that opponent's monster.

Bloom Prima usually uses 2 ingredients to summon Fusion, but you do not necessarily have to use 2 ingredients (1 Melodious Maestra + 1 or more Melodious). That's why this child's ATK is not simply 2500 (1900 + 600). This monster has the ability to attack twice in 1 Battle Phase, so it is often called out to end the match while leading. Bloom Prima has the ability to increase up to 3100 ATK if using 4 ingredients to overcome Blue-Eyes or Levianeer, but in practical application it is very resource-consuming so usually 2 ingredients are used. When this card is Special Summoned and sent to the Graveyard, you can regenerate resources by adding 1 Melodious monster from the Graveyard to your hand.

Schu is a fusion monster that is very easy to fuse with just 2 Melodious and it is not necessary to need Maestra to avoid deadhand situations (but you can use Melodious Maestra to fuse this monster). Schu has the ability to make grave players like Blue-Eyes bend down and make peace with you as it can banish 3 cards from both players' graves and increase ATK by 200 for each card and increase attack power by 3000 If banish 3 cards. This makes decks like lightsworn and especially Blue-Eyes very uncomfortable because as soon as the egg is thrown, it will be banned. Not only that, Schu also increases to 3000 ATK, so if you want to avoid being banned, use traps or get 1 Blue-Eyes. to commit suicide (If you have Blue-Eyes loaded with vjp, you'll be fine). The scariest thing is Karma Cut or Raigeki Break to throw eggs and shoot at Schu . Before being shot, Schu chains and banishes all the cards in the grave, so Schu is both easy to summon and annoying, and has a great body.

Bloom Diva is a huge boss of this set with the summoning condition being 1 Melodious Maestra + 1 Melodious monster. Not only do you not take damage when fighting with this monster, this monster will NOT BE Destroyed, imagine you play Raigeki Break or Levianeer at cost but you cannot do anything to this card. As for the battle area, it is even scarier when this monster attacks a specially summoned monster, you will receive damage and destroy your monster, that is, if the opponent does not cause damage to you, you will does not destroy monsters, but you also have to think on the contrary that the ability to be immune to damage is very little, not to mention that in the current meta, special summons are so common that almost every deck mixes with Extra Decks, so this makes Bloom Diva becoming more and more scary.

If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 "Melodious" monster from your Deck, except "Solo the Melodious Songstress".

1st Movement Solo helps you search straight for 1 Melodious Level 4 or lower on the field as long as you are not controlling a monster. Usually you will summon Score and use the skill Shopina or summon Soprano (depending on the situation). The side effect is also nothing with the Melodious deck, which is that you can only special summon Melodious monsters.

Solo allows you to special summon it from your hand if your opponent controls a monster and you have no monsters (usually combined with Soprano ). And if it is destroyed by battle you can search 1 Melodious monster from your deck to the field (except Solo ).

Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the end of this turn, that target gains 400 ATK, but its effects are negated.

Book Of Moon has the ability to set 1 monster face-down on the field, allowing you to interrupt your opponent's combo like Harpie Channeler's effect. In addition, the final boss of the deck, Bloom Diva, is afraid of Karma Cut, but Karma Cut can only banish face-up monsters and this card is an instant magic and can select monsters on the field of 2 players, so Book Of Moon is a warning. Millet is very strong and versatile.

MST and CC are two cards depending on the deck and for decks that do not need to spend LP to activate skills like Melodious, MST is the more optimal choice. In the current meta, TTH appears quite a lot, so if MST hits an opponent's trap, the opponent's TTH is considered invalid and you get +1 more than your opponent.

Usually, few Melodious players will bring Chalice instead, they invest in strong traps (I will talk about it below) not because chalice is not strong but because they have more money (selection box) but chalice is still a card. Strong card for F2P because it is an instant spell that can be activated on your turn, unlike Fiendish Chain, even if the opponent has 400 ATK, it is still useless against your boss (especially Bloom Diva). In the current meta, monsters that initiate ATK combos are very weak (except Pendulum), so Chalice is a very effective combo interrupter.

Target 1 face-up Effect Monster your opponent controls; that face-up monster your opponent controls has its effects negated until the end of this turn. During your turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 face-up Effect Monster your opponent controls; that target has its effects negated until the end of this turn.

Necro Fusion has the ability to fuse monsters from the Extra Deck by banishing face-down monsters from the grave and because it is a trap, it is easy to overshoot before activating (like MST) But more so than other traps like Karma Cut or Raigeki Break you must have a target to activate, so it is often broken before you can do anything. In the case of Necro Fusion, you can fuse when you are about to be broken (chain link after being targeted).

Breakthrough Skill is like 2 Chalices together but 1 is instant magic and magic but does not increase damage. Specifically: you will target and prevent 1 monster effect, then you will remove this card from play (except the turn it is sent down) to target and prevent the effect one more time, it is true that traps are slow and easy to catch. But if this card is destroyed, you can still use it, so this is an optimal choice.

STBFU helps you regenerate resources from the grave or summon monsters from your hand (mainly used to regenerate graves) because this set is full of FAIRY Light, so like Magnet, they combine very well with STBFU, in addition if the opponent Destroying this card that you chain link to will activate both effects of this card. (summon monsters and get 1 more STBFU )
