Instructions for playing Madolche

Instructions for playing Madolche

“Madolche” is an Archetype of EARTH-type monsters with many different Types and was first introduced through DD Wind Tower and the Earth Dimension event. Although “Madolche” received a lot of good support from Burning Nova, it later received a lot of other support including Key Xyz Boss, Madolche Queen Tiaramisu was released on the 44th Mini Box: Lord of Borrel recently released makes this a deck that is both cute and worth playing.

The "Madolche" archetype focuses on recycling their cards for multiple uses, with all "Madolche" monsters sent back to the Deck or hand when they are destroyed by an opponent's card. This unique trait is this Archetype's greatest strength, and it gives this deck the ability to recover quickly while the opponent's resources are gradually depleted.

The effect of this skill is quite similar to Magical Mallet but smaller. We can simply swap a card in our hand and luckily draw the card we need

Main cards

Madolche Puddingcess (x1)
SR rarity
Madolche Puddingcess

Madolche Puddingcess

Madolche Puddingcess is a level 5 monster but has quite low base stats. Even if there are no monsters in your grave, her ATK increase only pushes her up to 1800 ATK. You use Hootcake to Special Summon Puddingcess from your Deck by banishing 1 other Monster, which has 1800 ATK and DEF, increasing to 2300 ATK and DEF with Madolche Chateau. You can also Special Summon Madolche Puddingcess from your hand using Mewfeuille.

The best part about Puddingcess is her free destroy effect, however this is also quite slow. Only being activated after battle makes Puddingcess vulnerable to all forms of disruption such as traps, effect monsters, etc. If you are successful, use this effect to remove your opponent's backrow or any threat on the field.

Madolche Magileine (x3)
SR rarity
Madolche Magileine
SR rarity
Madolche Magileine

Normal Summon Magileine and search for Mewfeuille or Hootcake, depending on whether Messengelato is in your hand or still in the deck. Summon Mewfeuille or Hootcake then use their effects to Special Summon Messengelato. Messengelato searches for your Field Spell, which helps you endlessly recycle monsters. This combination is a good demonstration of Madolche's playstyle and strategy, gaining good resources but consuming little resources.

Magileine may seek out another copy of herself to thin yours. But you will need to wait until your next turn to use the effect of the sought-after Magileine.

Madolche Petingcessoeur (x1)

Madolche Petingcessoeur

Madolche Petingcessoeur is an XYZ starter card that special summons herself while your Graveyard has no monsters. She will summon you Madolche Puddingcess reduced by 1 level (level 4), making this card easy for you to summon Madolche Queen Tiaramisu.

Madolche Hootcake (x1)

Madolche Hootcake

By banishing a monster from your Graveyard, Madolche Hootcake allows you to Special Summon another "Madolche" monster from your Deck. Normal Summon Madolche Hootcake, banish other Monsters from your Graveyard then Special Summon Messengelato to search your field spell. Or, if you already have the Field Spell, Special Summon Puddingcess and use it as a beater with a somewhat slow removal effect.

Madolche Messengelato

If Madolche Messengelato is Special Summoned and you control a "Madolche" Beast-Type monster (Hootcake or Mewfeuille), it allows you to add one "Madolche" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand . Use Messengelato's effect to add a Field Spell to your hand.

Summoner Monk (x2 (used for summoner monk version))

Summoner Monk

Summoner Monk is a field swarm monster that allows you to summon another level 4 Monster by discarding a Spell Card. Even though that Special Summoned monster cannot attack during that summoned turn, you can still activate its effect for combo play or directly Xyz Summon or LINK Summon.

Spell/Trap

Madolche Chateau (x1)

Madolche Chateau

This Field Spell will increase the ATK and DEF of all "Madolche" monsters on the field, including monsters your opponent controls in a match where both play Madolche by 500. Additionally, if any monsters in your Graveyard are returned to the Deck by the effect of “Madolche”s when you control Madolche Chateau, you can add it to your hand instead. This second effect is Chateau's best thing, allowing you to endlessly recycle your monsters to conserve resources.

Since adding monsters back to your hand is not required, you can still bring destroyed monsters back to your Deck to avoid running out of cards before your opponent.

Madolche Queen Tiaramisu, a great Madolche rank 4 This Tiaramisu is very strong against Boss monsters that cannot be targeted or destroyed with Battle or Card Effects, you can also shuffle your opponent's back row cards to play or attack safely.

A rank 5 Boss Monster can be Xyz Summoned "Rank-up" by stacking it on top of other rank 4 Xyz Madolche Monsters (Queen or Teacher). Chocolat-a-la-Mode acts as a Great Recycling Tech for not only Madolche Monsters but Spell/Trap as well. She can also summon 1 Madolche monster from your Deck while having a Madolche card shuffled back to the Main Deck (but remember, except during the Damage Step).

Madolche Teacher Glassouffle ( x2)

This rank 4 Madolche Xyz Monster allows 1 of your Madolche Monsters to be unaffected by monster effects except the target itself.

Not only that, Glassouffle can shuffle 2 cards (including other cards such as used Spell/Trap Cards) from your Graveyard back to the Deck effect, when a certain Madolche card is sent to your Graveyard. Friend. This effect is very useful to allow you to reuse Tech cards or Key cards for the next play.

This is a fairly versatile mercenary that is often found in every deck. If co-linked, they will develop their full potential such as: Draw 1, destroy 1 spell/trap, return 1 card on the field to the deck,...

Diamond Dire Wolf (x1)

Diamond Dire Wolf

Use Dire Wolf's effect to destroy itself or Hootcake to exchange for 1 backrow card from your opponent before you do something so you can feel more secure when dancing.

Weakness

  • Just one Necrovalley card can shut down your entire strategy. Prevents your Madolches from recycling themselves and prevents you from using Hootcake's effects.

  • This deck lacks any form of protection. For this reason, it relies on common backrows to prevent your opponents from using their techs or disruptors.

  • A lot of your recycling potential comes from your Field Spell. But if the Chateau is discolored, you will lose the incentive to recycle quickly and also the power to turn your monsters into good Beaters.

Some other useful cards (playing Synchro)

Madolche Mewfeuille (x0-x1)
N rarity
Madolche Mewfeuille

Madolche Mewfeuille

Similar to Hootcake, Mewfeuille is used to Swarm your field with Madolche monsters. But meanwhile Hootcake helps us Special Summon   from the deck, but Mewfeuille only allows us to Special Summon   from hand. As Madolche Mewfeuille is a Beast monster, if you use its effect to Special Summon Madolche Messengelato, you will also be able to search your Field Spell.

You will not want to Special Summon Magileine as this card's effect will not activate.

Psychic Wheeleder (x3)
UR rarity
Psychic Wheeleder
UR rarity
Psychic Wheeleder

You can Special Summon Psychic Wheeleder while controlling Mewfeuille or Hootcake. Since Mewfeuille and Hootcake often Special Summon Messengelato, you have the option of performing a level 6 or level 7 Synchro. Remember that this sends the monster to your graveyard, hindering Puddincess's stat increase. However, Synchro materials in your graveyard can be used as a cost for Hootcake's effect.

A full combo with Hootcake and Wheeleder in hand will go like this:

  1. Normal Summon Hootcake and banish Dark Verger to Special Summon Messengelato. Messengelato searches for Chateau.
  2. Special Summon Wheeleder and perform level 7 Synchro. Usually Ancient Pixie Dragon for control or Samurai Destroyer for attack.
  3. Activating Cheatau allows you to draw a card with Ancient Pixie Dragon and return Messengelato to the deck. You can also destroy your opponent's monsters with Ancient Pixie Dragon.
  4. On your next turn, you can use Hootcake's effect to banish Wheeleder in your graveyard and Special Summon Puddingcess. Now, when your graveyard is clear of monsters, Puddingcess will gain increased ATK.

Ancient Pixie Dragon (x1)

Ancient Pixie Dragon

Ancient Pixie Dragon works well in most decks that rely on Field Spells. Activating the Field Spell allows you to draw a card, recovering the resources used to summon the Ancient Pixie Dragon. And since decks like Madolche want their Field Spells to appear as soon as possible, you can immediately use Ancient Pixie Dragon's free destroy effect.

Brionac Dragon of the Ice Barrier (x1)

Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier

When Chateau is active, the Madolche deck will practically always be full of monsters. You can take advantage of this large amount of resources by discarding them as Brionac's cost and clearing your opponent's field. This makes Brionac the best Synchro card to summon when you're ready to OTK your opponent.

Samurai Destroyer (x1)

This is a good beater with a very safe effect when it attacks, in addition to having an effect after leaving the field and returning that is also very stable for defending in bad situations.

This card has a great removal effect that Brionac and zeta don't have, and can be used against cards that are immune to Target. However, the price to exchange is quite expensive when you have to spend 1 extra slot and 2 monsters :((

PSY-Framelord Zeta (x1)

PSY-Framelord Zeta

Zeta is the best way to get rid of your opponent's boss monster until you have some way to deal with it. Banish Zeta and your opponent's boss monsters until your next turn, and you can continue doing this whenever they return. Then, when you have another removal effect ready, use it to eliminate that boss. Remember to leave an empty monster area for Zeta to return.

Naturia Barkion (x1)

Barkion helps address this deck's lack of protection by negating disruptive Trap cards. The cost of Barkion's effect also keeps your graveyard free of monsters, maintaining Puddingcess's ATK increase.
