Exosister gameplay guide

Exosister gameplay guide

EXOSISTER is a deck based on Level 4 monsters with a unique mechanism: punishing opponents when they interact with the Graveyard. All Exosister monsters in the Main Deck share the same effect: If a card moves out of any player's Graveyard, you can activate their Quick Effect to Xyz Summon immediately.

In this version, we utilize the new skill MAKURA'S JUDGMENT to enhance stability and access to powerful Trap cards. The goal is to set up Xyz monsters to lock the Graveyard, banish opponent cards, and finish off the Boss EXOSISTER MAGNIFICA .

Skill

This is the engine behind this new deck of cards. This skill accomplishes three important things:

  1. Add MAKY URA THE DESTRUCTOR to your hand (free +1 card).

  2. This allows you to shuffle one card from your hand back into your Deck . This is extremely important because your deck contains unwanted cards like IRENE and SOPHIA that you might draw. You want them in your Deck to summon, not in your hand.

  3. If you have MAKURA in your hand, you add 1 Trap card from your deck to your hand . This skill requires playing two different types of Traps, usually VADIS and RETURNIA .

Monsters in the Main Deck

Exosister Martha (x2-3)

This is the strongest "1-card combo". It Special Summons from your hand and pulls ELIS from your deck. Instantly you have 2 Level 4 monsters to Xyz Summon without spending a Normal Summon turn.

Exosister Elis (x3)

You can Special Summon yourself if you're controlling an Exosister. A great extender card to help you reach Rank 4 easily.

Exosister Irene and Exosister Sophia (x1)

These are the cards we don't want to draw. Why do we still play? Because the VADIS trap card needs to summon them from the Deck.

  • Note: When both are on the field, SOPHIA restores 800 LP and draws 1 card; IRENE shuffles your deck (returns 1 card to your deck, draws 1 card).

Makyura the Destructor (x1)

It's a must-have because of its Skill. It acts as a regular Level 4 monster that you can Normal Summon and Xyz pair with when needed (e.g., when your deck is "bricked").

Spell/Trap

Exosister Pax (x3)

This is the ultimate Searcher card. It can find EVERYTHING: Monsters, Spells, or Traps from Exosister.

  • Side Effect: If you find a monster whose name is mentioned on a monster you're controlling (e.g., find IRENE while you have SOPHIA ), you can Special Summon it. Think of this as adding 3 copies of MARTHA or VADIS .

Exosister Vadis (x1)

"The Starter Combo"

This Trap card allows you to Special Summon 2 Exosisters from your deck at the same time!

  • The rule: You summon one Pokémon, and that Pokémon must mention the name of the second Pokémon. That's why the pair IRENE and SOPHIA always appear together.

  • Why only one card? Because the Skill and PAX can find it easily. Thanks to the Skill, you can activate this Trap card right on the first turn (from your hand) to start the combo.

Exosister Returnia (x1)

This is a very powerful disruptive/field-breaking card.

  • Condition: Only control Exosister (note: cannot be used if Makura is on the field).

  • Effect 1: Banish one of your opponent's cards.

  • Effect 2 (Bonus): Afterwards, you can perform an Xyz Summon immediately.

  • Effect 3 (Bonus): If you have Xyz Summoned this turn, you banish one more card . (Total banishment of 2 cards - similar to Treacherous Trap Hole but Banish).

Exosister Carpedivem (x1)

This is the Eternal Spell card for advanced players.

  • Effect: When you Xyz Summon, you get to CALL 1 CARD . The effect of that card is negated for this turn.

  • Instructions: If you know your opponent is playing a Hero, call out " Super Polymerization ". If you fear Nibiru , call out "Nibiru". If your opponent is about to lose and you fear Kiteroid , call out "Kiteroid" before attacking.

Extra Deck

(Rank 8): The Final Boss. Created by overlaying two Rank 4 Exosisters on top of each other.

    • Double Attack: Can attack twice (2800 ATK x 2).

    • Non-targeted banishment: Separate 1 material to banish 1 opponent card (Quick Effect).

    • Transform: Return 1 material to the Extra Deck to transform it into that card and place it on top of Magnifica.

      • Tip: Use Magnifica to banish 1 card -> Transform into Mikailis -> Mikailis banishes another card. (Double Banish).

      • Tip 2: Use transformation effects to dodge targeted effects or the Book of Eclipse .

    Combo and how it works

This deck is very versatile, regardless of whether you play first or second. Below are the main combo paths:

    1. The Best Starter Combo with Martha

This is the strongest 1-card combo.

    1. In hand: Activate MARTHA -> Summon yourself and ELIS from the Deck.

    2. Xyz Summon MIKAILIS .

    3. MIKAILIS effect: Separate ingredients -> Search for VADIS traps (or CARPEDIVE if Vadis is already present).

    4. Fold your card and end your turn.

    5. Opponent's turn (End Phase or when needed): Activate VADIS -> Summon IRENE + SOPHIA .

    6. Immediately use Xyz Summon (thanks to the Exosister or Returnia effect) to summon Kaspitel to lock down the Graveyard or Asophiel, depending on the situation.

That's a basic combo without skills. If you're using the Myakura skill, you can refer to this combo example: https://ygovietnam.com/combo/453

    2. Starting Combo with VADIS (Skill-Based)

"A sample combo for easier visualization can be found here: https://ygovietnam.com/combo/edit/454 "

Without Martha, skill will save you.

    1. Use Skill: Add MAKURA , shuffle 1 trash card back into Deck (e.g., Irene/Sophia), add VADIS to your hand. ( If you're unlucky and can't add Vadis because the skill is 50/50, then pray that you have PAX in your hand .)

    2. Activate VADIS from your hand (Skill enabled).

    3. Summon IRENE + SOPHIA from the Deck. (Activate healing effects and draw cards to filter the deck).

    4. Xyz Summon KASPITEL .

    5. Kaspitel Effect: Search for Martha

    6. Activate Martha's effect, then upgrade Mikalidis, and then find Returnia .

    7. Finally, the husband's two children, both Rank 4, became MAGNIFICA .

    3. The "Going Behind" Combo (OTK & Destroying the Field)

    1. Perform the same combo as above to get MIKAILIS .

    2. Use MIKAILIS to banish one of your opponent's troublesome cards.

    3. Search for RETURNIA or CARPEDIVE .

      • Use RETURNIA if you need to banish two more cards to clear the field.

      • Use CARPEDIVE to call out the names of Handtraps (such as Kiteroid) to ensure the attack is successful.

    4. Upgrade to MAGNIFICA : Attack twice (2800 x 2 = 5600 damage). Easily ends the match.

    4. Troubleshooting When Things Get "Bricked"

    Here's a sample combo for easier visualization : https://ygovietnam.com/combo/455

    If you only have
MAKURA and any Level 4 Exosister (not Martha), you can still combo as if nothing happened because Makura can search using her Skill:

    1. Activate Skill, reveal Makyura to add any trap card (Let's assume it's Retunia because the scenario is that we're currently bricked).

    2. Normal Summon MAKURA .

    3. Normal Summon the remaining monster.

    4. Xyz Summon MIKAILIS -> Find Vadis

    5. Activate Vadis directly (skill enabled), summon 2 Exosisters.

    6. XYZ exit Kaspitell, search for Martha

    7. Activate Martha's effect, summon her along with another level 4 Exosister (Elis).

    8. XYZ out Magnificia with Mikailis & Kaspitell

    9. XYZ Gibrine by Marthe with Elis

    10. Set a trap and end your turn.

Things to note and advanced tips

  • The power of CARPEDIVE: Don't underestimate this card. "Calling" a card requires knowledge of the Meta (reading what deck your opponent is playing), but if used correctly, it can completely neutralize your opponent's main cards (for example, calling Aleister the Invoker or Nibiru ).

  • Dodging Book of Eclipse: If your opponent uses Book of Eclipse on your Magnifica , Chain Magnifica's "Tag-out" effect. This will return it to the Extra Deck and summon the Xyz monster below. The newly summoned Xyz monster will still be face down, but you've dodged Magnifica being disabled and can activate its effect on the next turn.

  • Don't be afraid of opponents with many monsters: Exosister loves opponents with many monsters, because MAGNIFICA can attack twice, and you have tons of banishment effects to clear the way.

  • Resource Management: With 1 VADIS card, 1 MARTHA card, and Skills, you have many ways to recover your base after it's been wiped out. Don't hesitate to use all your resources to apply pressure because this deck has excellent recovery capabilities.

  • Summary

Exosister with its Makura skill is a high-tier deck , incredibly stable and versatile. It's not a boring "solitaire" deck, but a highly interactive one that requires you to read the situation and punish your opponent at the right time. Good luck climbing the ranks with the "Exosister" team!
