How to play Battlin' Boxer
Sections covered in this guide:
Introduce

A crazy deck that is fun and easy to build. Buying packs in the shop will give you more special cards and packs from the latest set, including Boxers. This deck was okay before, but with Dempsey it became much stronger. Now all that's missing is Cross Counter, Konami please!
Extremely powerful skill , basically a Promoter when going first, or a Promoter/Chief when going later. When you have 105, you can rank up BF and FC for free if they are still in your deck. Don't always use it right away, you can keep it if you have a good hand.Skill
Barian Battlemorph! Shooting Star Fist (Skill Card) (100%)

Barian Battlemorph! Shooting Star Fist (Skill Card)
ATK:
0
DEF:
0
You can only use this Skill's second and third effects once per Duel. 1: You cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters, except "Battlin' Boxer" monsters (excluding Special Summons from the Extra Deck). 2: Send 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster from your hand or face-up field to the Graveyard, then play 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster in face-down Defense Position to your field. (Its battle position can be changed.) If only your opponent controls a card, you can play 2 instead. 3: If you control "Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus", Barian Battlemorph and regain your true form! Add 1 "Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force" from outside your Deck to your hand. Then, you can add 1 "Counter" Counter Trap Card from your Deck to your hand.
The Skill name sounds quite similar to Barian Battlemorph! The Barian's White Shield.
- The first line of Skill is just a small limitation that almost every deck's unique Skill has, which is to lock us down with Battlin' Boxer.
- The second skill helps us to summon face down (can be changed to attack) 1 Battlin' Boxer from the DECK, if the enemy HAS cards on the field, you can even summon 2 cards from the Deck. This brings a huge advantage if we go 2nd.
- At the end, I don't want to mention the effect again, it's written like that :v

Battlin' Boxer Chief Second (x2)

Battlin' Boxer Chief Second
ATK:
500
DEF:
2000
During your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) When an opponent's monster declares an attack, while you control a Warrior or FIRE monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, negate that attack, then banish 1 monster on the field until the End Phase. You can only use this effect of "Battlin' Boxer Chief Second" once per turn.
This card is limited to 2 because it has the effect of a Handtrap. It is mainly used with its 2nd Ability to stop 1 attack, banish 1 enemy monster until the end of the turn and + 1 Body on the field.
Battlin' Boxer Uppercutter (x3)

Battlin' Boxer Uppercutter
ATK:
1600
DEF:
200
If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can add 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster or 1 "Counter" Counter Trap from your Deck to your hand, except "Battlin' Boxer Uppercutter". If this card is sent to the GY by card effect: You can activate 1 of these effects; ● Special Summon 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster from your GY, except "Battlin' Boxer Uppercutter". ● Set 1 "Counter" Counter Trap from your GY to your field. You can only use 1 "Battlin' Boxer Uppercutter" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
The main Searcher of Archetype, it searches almost everything except Spells. Since it searches Counter traps with the word "Counter" in their name, we combine this deck with the Flamvell Counter card.
Battlin' Boxer Promoter (x3)

Battlin' Boxer Promoter
ATK:
1700
DEF:
800
If your opponent controls a monster: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. You can Tribute this card; Special Summon up to 2 "Battlin' Boxer" monsters with different names from your Deck, except "Battlin' Boxer Promoter". You can banish this card from your GY; increase or decrease the Levels of all "Battlin' Boxer" monsters you currently control by 1. You can only use each effect of "Battlin' Boxer Promoter" once per turn, also you cannot Special Summon monsters during the turn you activate any of this card's effects, except "Battlin' Boxer" monsters.
This is probably the most important card in the deck, it is the starter that kickstarts our entire gameplay. If the opponent has a monster on the field, we can special summon this card without spending a Normal Summon turn, from there it will sacrifice itself to summon 2 Battlin' Boxer FROM THE DECKKK.
In addition, when going to the grave, banishing this card can increase the level of Battlin' Boxer by 1 and this will be the main way for us to summon Battlin Boss XYZ Rank 5. Hearing the 2 effects, we can also understand that this is the soul of the whole gameplay.
Battlin' Boxer Switchitter (x3)
1 very good card to help us flood the field with monsters. If we use this card to revive Chief Second, we will get a bonus of 1 Normal summon, which means +2 cards on the field. Good and not One Per Turn, x3
Battlin' Boxer Shadow (x1)
1 extra card to add body to the field. Because of its effect, it is quite easy to special summon, just draw 1 material from 1 XYZ Battlin' Boxer card. Otherwise, there is nothing, sometimes we just need to summon this card with Promoter
Battlin' Boxer Glassjaw (x1)
This card is only summoned as a body to XYZ, the effect has nothing special.
Battlin' Boxer Veil (x1)
This card has been quite famous since ancient times, Being punched -> Heal Restores base points + 1 body on the field. However, to get 1 body on the field with this card, we have to wait for the enemy to attack us, it's quite slow so we only need x1
Battlin' Boxer Sparrer (x0-1)
This card is really good on turn 1, giving us a free body extremely easily with almost 0 conditions. However, on turn 2 it is a pain because we will not be able to enter the Battle Phase during the turn, not suitable for the Battlin' Boxer deck.
Do not use

Battlin' Boxer Counterpunch
ATK:
0
DEF:
1100
During the Damage Step of either player's turn, when a "Battlin' Boxer" monster you control is attacking or being attacked: You can banish this card from your hand or Graveyard; that monster gains 1000 ATK, until the end of this turn. You can only use the effect of "Battlin' Boxer Counterpunch" once per turn.

Battlin' Boxer Big Bandage
ATK:
1100
DEF:
1400
Once per turn, this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn: You can target 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster in your Graveyard, or 1 of your banished "Battlin' Boxer" monsters, that has a Level; all "Battlin' Boxer" monsters you currently control become that monster's current Level.
Too useless and out of meta, also belongs to the archetype so I put it in but don't use it guys
Spell/Trap & Tech
Battlin' Boxing Spirits (x1)
1 Extender is quite simple, resurrecting 1 Battlin' Boxer from the grave but exchanging 1 card from the top of the deck.
Ring Announcer (x1)
This card, although not having Battlin' Boxer in its name, is still considered an Archetype due to its effect, and can therefore be searched with King Dempsey . It is both an Extender that helps us add bodies to the field and helps us clear enemy Spells/Traps.
Flamvell Counter (x1)
Although it is not an Archetype, it seems to be born for Battlin' Boxer, with the effect of banishing a FIRE monster with 200 DEF (Perfect when paired with UpperCutter), from there we have a 96.69% unblockable Counter Negate Spell/Trap.
As an indispensable part of EndBoard, remember to search it with UpperCutter
Xyz Block (x1-2)
Since our deck is purely XYZ, this card will be quite effective. However, we need to consider whether it is worth drawing 1 material from XYZ Bosses.
Popular tech cards

Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill
ATK:
0
DEF:
1800
If your opponent Special Summons a monster(s) face-up (except during the Damage Step): You can discard this card, then target 1 of those face-up monsters; negate its effects until the end of this turn, also if that face-up monster leaves the field this turn, its controller takes damage equal to its original ATK. You can only use this effect of "Ghost Mourner & Moonlit Chill" once per turn.

Lost Wind
Target 1 face-up Special Summoned monster on the field; negate its effects, also its original ATK is halved. If a monster is Special Summoned from your opponent's Extra Deck, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Set this card, but banish it when it leaves the field.

Book of Eclipse
Change all face-up monsters on the field to face-down Defense Position. During the End Phase of this turn, change as many face-down Defense Position monsters your opponent controls as possible to face-up Defense Position, then your opponent draws cards equal to the number of monsters changed face-up by this effect.

Forbidden Droplet
Send any number of other cards from your hand and/or field to the GY; choose that many Effect Monsters your opponent controls, and until the end of this turn, their ATK is halved, also their effects are negated. In response to this card's activation, your opponent cannot activate cards, or the effects of cards, with the same original type (Monster/Spell/Trap) as the cards sent to the GY to activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Forbidden Droplet" per turn.
Wherever you go, Veiler is the most important thing
Extra Deck
Number C79: Battlin' Boxer General Kaiser (x1)

Number C79: Battlin' Boxer General Kaiser
ATK:
2600
DEF:
2000
3 Level 5 monsters Gains 200 ATK for each material attached to it. Once per turn, when your opponent would Special Summon a monster(s) (Quick Effect): You can detach 2 materials from this card, and if you do, negate the Summon, and if you do that, destroy that monster(s). If this card has "Number 79: Battlin' Boxer Nova Kaiser" as material, it gains this effect. ● Once per turn, when an attack is declared involving your "Battlin' Boxer" monster and an opponent's monster: You can send 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster from your hand or Deck to the GY, and if you do, attach that opponent's monster to this card as material.
This card can be summoned by Rank-up from Skill. This card is part of Endboard because it has an effect that negates the opponent's special summon (This effect is similar to Steelswarm Roach 's effect, so we cannot negate Fusion & Ritual Summon).
Number C105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus (x1)

Number C105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus
ATK:
2800
DEF:
2000
4 Level 5 monsters When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the destroyed monster's original ATK. If this card has "Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus" as an Xyz Material, it gains this effect. ● Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the destroyed monster's ATK on the field.
The 2nd boss of the deck. Can also be Ranked up with Skills. However, its initial effect is not as good as General Kaiser , only has a little burn damage if it destroys an enemy monster with an attack.
Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke (x2)

Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke
ATK:
2200
DEF:
2000
2 Level 4 "Battlin' Boxer" monsters If a "Battlin' Boxer" monster(s) you control would be destroyed by battle or by a card effect, you can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card instead of destroying 1 of those monsters. When an Xyz Material(s) is detached from this card: This card gains 800 ATK.
This card's effect is not One Per Turn so it can +1600 ATK quite quickly, while also protecting the Battlin' Boxers. 3800 ATK is not a small number in this Duel Links Format, right?
Battlin' Boxer King Dempsey (x2)

Battlin' Boxer King Dempsey
ATK:
2300
DEF:
1800
2 Level 4 monsters If this card is Special Summoned: You can take 1 Level 4 or lower FIRE Warrior monster or 1 "Battlin' Boxing" Spell/Trap from your Deck, and either add it to your hand or send it to the GY. (Quick Effect): You can detach 1 material from a monster you control, and if you do, apply the following effect. ● Your opponent cannot target "Battlin' Boxer" monsters you control with card effects for the rest of this turn. You can only use each effect of "Battlin' Boxer King Dempsey" once per turn.
KING DEMPSEY Here it is!!. This card is extremely good because it fixes many weaknesses of the deck. First, when summoned, it will immediately search or send to the grave 1 Battlin Monster, Trap or even Spell (something UpperCutter cannot do)
Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus (x1)

Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus
ATK:
2500
DEF:
1600
3 Level 4 monsters During either player's Battle Step, if a "Battlin' Boxer" monster you control battles an opponent's monster: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate the effects of the opponent's monster until the end of the turn, that monster you control cannot be destroyed by that battle, also your opponent takes any battle damage you would have taken from that battle.
Requiring 3 level 4 monsters is a bit much but it's quite easy to summon since we have Skill. It's almost just a stepping stone for us to Rank-Up.
Number 79: Battlin' Boxer Nova Kaiser (x1)

Number 79: Battlin' Boxer Nova Kaiser
ATK:
2300
DEF:
1600
2 Level 4 monsters Once per turn: You can attach 1 "Battlin' Boxer" monster from your hand or Graveyard to this card as an Xyz Material. This card gains 100 ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it. When this card you control is destroyed by your opponent's card (by battle or card effect) and sent to your Graveyard: You can target Level 4 or lower "Battlin' Boxer" monsters in your Graveyard, up to the number of Xyz Materials this card had on the field; Special Summon those targets.
Like number 105, it's just a stepping stone to Rank-Up, no need to care much

You can only use 1 "Battlin' Boxer Uppercutter" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

Summary
Main combo:
Promoter → GlassJaw and Uppercutter (look for Chief/Switchhitter, but Chief is preferred). Then Dempsey will look for the remaining piece. If you already have the above two, look for something else. Dempsey splits GlassJaw, providing protection, and GlassJaw will restore Promoter or whatever was removed by the ability.
- Summon Chief → Switch → GlassJaw → Summon 105 → Use Skill → Get Barian/Counter.
- What happens next depends on the match.
Important Note:
- Don't always rank up immediately. 105 can beat Hero just by attacking weaker Boxers like Veil .
- Rank Up can be used as a feint or rank up on Dempsey .
- Promoter can summon from hand if opponent has monster , don't forget the beginning of this effect to extend combo.
- Sparrer is useful when going first , but it locks the Battle Phase , so be careful when using it on other turns.
- Announcer helps force opponents to use Super Poly .
- Turn on "Always Mode ON" to be able to split the King as soon as the opponent draws a card.
- Against Hero Rainbow , it is possible to keep King to separate Uppercutter, helping to have monsters on the field after being cleared.
- Counter Neos Fusion.
Extra Deck Options:
- Castel is not very useful, Exicton is more useful because it can clear the opponent's field.
- Nova doesn't appear much , but having it will help trigger C79's second effect when ranking up.
- 1x Dempsey is enough.
Why should you play 3 Veil sometimes?
- This card is so awesome, it's the MVP of the deck.
- Sometimes just skipping a turn , the opponent thinks it will win easily and attacks, but Veil can block 2 attacks .
- Always try to have Chief on hand to combine with Veil .
- Many people forget the second effect of Chief , which helps summon/remove if there is a Warrior (Veil).
- If your opponent has 3 monsters on the field and a full Extra Monster Zone , you can banish a monster in the Extra Zone , creating an opportunity to counterattack.
Popular matchups:
- LL/Salad → Caesar GG, try to stop Mirage with Veiler as soon as it enters the field .
- Hero → Hardest, win by letting 105 commit suicide on their big monster . Caesar is useless, should not be summoned .
