Identity & game plan
- Win condition: Fusion Summon Destiny End Dragoon, Destiny HERO - Dogma, Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer or Vision HERO Adoration and attack through an ATK-reduced board; Link and Xyz pressure from Xtra HERO Cross Crusader, Underworld Goddess and Super Starslayer TY-PHON when the board allows it
- Turn 1 (going first): Opening hand-activatable HERO starters (Faris, Vyon, Stratos, Denier, Liquid Soldier) into Vyon Polymerization search and Fusion Destiny or Polymerization for a Fusion boss; hand traps are mostly dead without an opponent summon
- Turn 2 (going second): Hold 1 to 2 hand traps (Droll and Lock Bird, Effect Veiler, Ghost Belle, Nibiru) to answer the opponent's first summon chain, then Fusion Summon a boss from the Extra Deck
- Recovery: Recycle GY HEROs through Malicious, Dreamer, Increase, Disk Commander and Denier, and rebuild with Vyon and Stratos searches
- After siding: No side deck in Duel Links; there is no post-side plan to evaluate
Why it scores here
The deck reliably opens a live turn because several hand-activatable HERO starters and nine hand traps give it a playable hand in most openings, and the HERO recursion in the Graveyard lets a failed opening recover. Its conversion ceiling comes from the Fusion boss package (Destiny End Dragoon, Dogma, Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer, Vision HERO Adoration), which is enabled by a single Fusion Destiny and a single Polymerization rather than by redundant copies, so the fusion engine has real choke points. Going second is the stronger seat because the hand traps are dead on a going-first turn, and the score reflects that asymmetry. The score is built from consistency, floor and median output, resilience and closing power on the system as a whole. It does not come from HERO popularity in the guides or the archetype usage rates, and the individual card scores were not averaged.
Dimension scores
| # | Dimension | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| D1 | Engine Accessibility & Consistency | 74 | P(at least one of 7 hand-activatable starters in opening 5) ≈ 0.76; the 3 Destiny HERO - Malicious copies are GY-only and do not count; P(at least one hand trap in opening 6) = 0.9086 from evidence (Inferred) |
| D2 | Opening-Hand Quality & Brick Management | 58 | Roughly 9 hand traps are dead on a going-first turn, Dogma and Dreadmaster need Tributes or Prison, and 15 one-of cards reduce redundancy (Inferred) |
| D3 | Combo Conversion & Ceiling | 62 | Fusion Destiny and Polymerization lead to 2800 to 3400 ATK bosses with ATK-reduction or destruction text; no parseable boards exist to measure the ceiling (Inferred) |
| D4 | Combo Floor & Median Output | 55 | No combos_evidence boards were supplied, so floor and median are text-only estimates with a wide band (Inferred) |
| D5 | Interruption Resilience & Route Redundancy | 70 | Nine hand traps, plus GY recursion from Malicious, Dreamer, Increase, Disk Commander and Denier, give several independent continuation routes (Inferred) |
| D6 | Resource Economy, Recovery & Grind | 66 | Vyon banishes a GY HERO to search Polymerization and Disk Commander draws 2 from the GY, but there is only one copy of each fuel card (Inferred) |
| D7 | End-Board & Interaction Quality | 62 | Hand traps are one-shot answers; Destroyer Phoenix and Adoration provide ATK reduction and destruction, and Stratos destroys backrow (Inferred) |
| D8 | Going-Second & Board-Breaking Power | 72 | Going-second hand traps are live on the opponent's first board, and Destiny End Dragoon destroys one monster per turn; no going-second split is supplied (Inferred) |
| D9 | Offensive Pressure & Closing Power | 74 | Dogma halves LP on the Standby Phase, and Dragoon, Starslayer and Adoration end on 2800 to 3400 ATK bodies (Inferred) |
| D10 | Main Deck Efficiency & Flexibility | 60 | Full 30-card main with 21 distinct cards, but tech (Droll, Veiler, Nibiru, Ghost Belle) and a dead-without-Prison Dreadmaster reduce coherence (Inferred) |
| D11 | Extra Deck Efficiency & Coverage | 70 | Nine Extra Deck slots cover 4 Link, 4 Fusion and 1 Xyz, with Cross Crusader and Phoenix as repeatable sources; usage flags for some Extra cards conflict with the card list (Inferred) |
| D12 | Side Deck Adaptability | 30 | Duel Links has no side deck and the deck runs zero side cards, so there is no post-side plan to score (Provisional) |
| D13 | Matchup Coverage & Format Fit | 60 | Guides describe the list as tier 1 and popular, but no dated meta share or match record is supplied (Provisional) |
| D14 | Pilotability & Error Tolerance | 55 | Multiple Fusion, Link and Xyz branches, Tribute conditions and hand-trap timing make decisions dense, but the core lines are readable (Inferred) |
How the score was computed
Strategy profile: Midrange. Structural ≈ 64, Going First ≈ 58, Going Second ≈ 70, Meta = provisional, Tournament Reliability ≈ 56. Modifiers: single-copy fusion enablers (-2). Final formula: 0.80*Structural + 0.20*TournamentReliability (Meta provisional); Structural 63.85 gives 51.08 + 11.20 = 62.28, then modifiers -2 gives 60
Probability & combo summary
- Opening a starter: P(≥1) ≈ 0.76 · key two-card combo ≈ — · full-brick estimate ≈ 0.01 (all Inferred)
- Combo output: best PowerIndex —, median —, board-per-starter —
- Turn order: 0 going-first lines vs 0 going-second lines
Strengths
- Nine hand traps give going-second interaction and resilience
- Several GY recursion routes let a failed opening continue
- Fusion bosses reach 2800 to 3400 ATK with ATK reduction or destruction
- Legal list with no size or copy violations
Weaknesses
- Hand traps are dead on a going-first turn
- Single-copy Fusion Destiny and Polymerization are the only fusion enablers
- Dreadmaster needs Clock Tower Prison and is a weak main-deck card in this list
- No combo data to confirm the conversion ceiling
Critical choke points
- Fusion Destiny and Polymerization, one copy each
- Vyon as the main searcher of Polymerization
- Dogma (Limited, 1 copy) as the closing boss
Recommended changes
| Priority | Remove | Add | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Destiny HERO - Dreadmaster | Polymerization (second copy) | Dreadmaster needs Clock Tower Prison, which is not in the list; a second Polymerization adds fusion redundancy for the boss route |
| 2 | Ghost Belle & Haunted Mansion | Destiny HERO - Dreamer or Denier copy, if the playtest shows too many dead going-first hand traps | Lowers the going-first brick rate; only if the hand-trap count is too high for the deck's first-turn plan |
Evidence & confidence
- Verified: Legal in duel-links: 30 Main, 9 Extra, 0 Side, no violations; Dogma is Limited (1 copy, run 1); Druiswurm and Magnamhut are Semi-Limited (2 legal, run 1 each); Hand-trap count is 9 (Droll x3, Veiler x3, Nibiru x2, Ghost Belle x1); Deck has 21 distinct Main cards and 6 distinct Extra cards
- Inferred: P(at least one hand-activatable starter in opening 5) ≈ 0.76; Going-second is the stronger seat because hand traps are dead on going first; Fusion route enabled by single-copy Fusion Destiny and Polymerization; Dogma is the closing boss
- Provisional: Tier-1 status claimed in guides (undated); Meta Power is null without a dated metagame sample
- Data gaps: no combos supplied; combo floor, median and ceiling are text-only inference no tournament link; archetype meta-share and per-pilot match record absent usage_statistics in_this_deck flags conflict with the card list for Extra Deck cards (Underworld Goddess, Destroyer Phoenix, Vision HERO Adoration, Cross Crusader); the card list was used as the source of truth guides are undated and the tier-1 claim cannot be checked against a meta sample no win-rate telemetry; going-first and going-second splits are Inferred
