Identity & game plan
- Win condition: Normal Summon Cyber Dragon Core to add a Cyber Spell/Trap, then chain searches and Special Summons into Cyber Dragon Infinity, Cyber Dragon Nova or Chimeratech Rampage Dragon for board and removal.; Power Bond or Cyberload Fusion into Cyber Eternity Dragon or Chimeratech Megafleet Dragon for a large Fusion board, with Cybernetic Overflow as removal.
- Turn 1 (going first): T1 Normal Summon Cyber Dragon Core, search a Cyber Spell/Trap (Cyber Emergency or Cybernetic Horizon), then use Cyber Dragon Herz or Nachster to reach a Link or Xyz Summon.
- Turn 2 (going second): Hand traps (Ash Blossom, Infinite Impermanence, Droll and Lock Bird, Maxx C) interrupt the opponent's opening, then a Cyber Dragon line is rebuilt from the hand.
- Recovery: Cyberdark Claw and Cyberdark Realm recover searchers from the GY; Mulcharmy Fuwalos draws off opponent summons. Recovery is thin and the deck is described in guides as low on recovery.
- After siding: No side deck (Master Duel). Rebuilding for a different matchup is not evaluated here.
Why it scores here
The deck reliably gets a searcher in hand: P(at least one of the 21 searcher-text cards in a 5-card opening hand) is about 0.98, and Cyber Dragon Core (3 copies) has P(≥1 in opening 5) of about 0.34, which is the main starter-access risk. The nine hand traps give about an 0.81 chance of at least one going second, so the deck can interrupt an opposing opening. Conversion is strong on paper, with Cyber Dragon Infinity, Cyber Dragon Nova, Chimeratech Rampage Dragon and Cyber Eternity Dragon as bosses, but there are no recorded boards, so floor and median are scored low. The score comes from the system: consistency is held back by 15 one-of main cards pulled from several engines (Cyberdark, Clockwork, Therion, Sky Striker, Chronomaly, Mulcharmy), only 27% exact-archetype purity, and thin recovery. Popularity did not earn points, and card scores were not averaged.
Dimension scores
| # | Dimension | Score | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| D1 | Engine Accessibility & Consistency | 58 | P(≥1 Cyber Dragon Core in opening 5) ≈ 0.34; P(≥1 searcher-text card in opening 5) ≈ 0.98; engine access is broad but the Core starter is fragile (Inferred) |
| D2 | Opening-Hand Quality & Brick Management | 42 | Many 1-of off-engine pieces (Clockwork Night, Triple Tactics Talent, Heosvarog-adjacent lines) and 15 singleton main cards create dead or conflicting draws (Inferred) |
| D3 | Combo Conversion & Ceiling | 58 | Ceiling from Cyber Dragon Infinity, Nova and Rampage Dragon boards plus Power Bond/Cyberload Fusion and Cybernetic Overflow removal; no recorded boards (Inferred from text) |
| D4 | Combo Floor & Median Output | 40 | No combos_evidence boards; guides describe the deck as not strong enough for the current meta, so the median is scored low (Provisional from guides) |
| D5 | Interruption Resilience & Route Redundancy | 45 | Nine hand traps and multiple searchers give some alternate lines, but the Core starter and few recursion pieces leave one-choke risk (Inferred) |
| D6 | Resource Economy, Recovery & Grind | 45 | Cyberdark Claw and Realm give some recovery and Fuwalos draws, but guides call recovery low and Power Bond costs LP (Inferred from text plus guides) |
| D7 | End-Board & Interaction Quality | 58 | Ash Blossom, Infinite Impermanence, Crossout Designator, Cybernetic Overflow and Rampage Dragon spell removal give layered interaction (Inferred semantic read) |
| D8 | Going-Second & Board-Breaking Power | 62 | P(≥1 hand trap in 6 going second) ≈ 0.81; Droll and Lock Bird and Maxx C disrupt the opposing draw (Inferred) |
| D9 | Offensive Pressure & Closing Power | 60 | Infinity, Nova and Eternity Dragon give 2100–2800 ATK boards once live; conversion is not reliable (Inferred) |
| D10 | Main Deck Efficiency & Flexibility | 40 | 40 main cards with 24 distinct and 15 singletons across several sub-archetypes; exact-name purity 27.3% (Verified count, Inferred effect) |
| D11 | Extra Deck Efficiency & Coverage | 55 | 15 Extra Deck slots across Fusion, Link and Xyz with mostly Cyber Dragon-compatible monsters; mandatory Chimeratech and Cyber Dragon bosses (Inferred) |
| D12 | Side Deck Adaptability | 30 | No side deck in Master Duel; no post-side data (Provisional) |
| D13 | Matchup Coverage & Format Fit | 35 | Guides say the deck is not competitive in the current meta; no dated metagame sample or tournament link (Provisional) |
| D14 | Pilotability & Error Tolerance | 35 | Multi-step lines with several optional choices and a hand-trap-dependent opening; error-prone for a new pilot (Inferred) |
How the score was computed
Strategy profile: Combo. Structural ≈ 50, Going First ≈ 46, Going Second ≈ 52, Meta = provisional, Tournament Reliability ≈ 42. Modifiers: engine conflicts (-4); unrecoverable choke point (-2). Final formula: 0.80*Structural + 0.20*TournamentReliability + ContextModifiers (Meta provisional, no dated metagame sample)
Probability & combo summary
- Opening a starter: P(≥1) ≈ 0.34 · key two-card combo ≈ — · full-brick estimate ≈ — (all Inferred)
- Combo output: best PowerIndex —, median —, board-per-starter —
- Turn order: 0 going-first lines vs 0 going-second lines
Strengths
- Searcher density (21 searcher-text cards) gives near-certain access to a searcher in an opening hand
- Nine hand traps give strong going-second interruption
- Multiple Link, Xyz and Fusion bosses (Infinity, Nova, Rampage Dragon, Eternity Dragon) with real board presence
Weaknesses
- Only 27% exact-archetype purity; several sub-engines compete for slots
- Fifteen singleton main cards raise brick and dead-card risk
- Thin recovery and self-damage from Power Bond; guides call the deck low-resilience
Critical choke points
- Cyber Dragon Core (3 copies) is the main Normal Summon starter; about a one-in-three chance to see it in an opening 5
- A single hand trap or a board-negation line can end the turn with no follow-up
Recommended changes
| Priority | Remove | Add | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Clockwork Night | Second Cyber Dragon Core or Cyber Dragon Herz | Clockwork Night serves a separate engine; a second Core raises starter access for the main line |
| 2 | Triple Tactics Talent | Cyber Emergency or Cybernetic Horizon | Reduces dead or conditional draws and adds a searcher that fits the Cyber engine |
Evidence & confidence
- Verified: Legal in master-duel: 40 main, 15 extra, 0 side within 40–60 / 0–15; Crossout Designator (Limited, 1/1), Maxx C (Limited, 1/1), Droll and Lock Bird (Semi-Limited, 2/2) all within legal copies; Archetype purity 27.3% and archetype spread from the export; Hand-trap count 9 and searcher-text count 21 from role tags
- Observed: Usage statistics show Cyber Dragon core cards at 100% inclusion; Cyber Dragon Infinity at 66.7%
- Inferred: Starter access from hypergeometric estimates: Cyber Dragon Core 0.34, searcher group 0.98, hand trap going second 0.81; Interaction quality and ceiling from card text; Brick risk from singleton count and mixed engines
- Provisional: Meta Power is null; no dated metagame sample; Matchup and format fit (D13) rest on guide statements, not data
- Data gaps: No combos supplied: floor, median and ceiling are text-only inference No tournament link: archetype meta-share and pilot match record absent No win-rate telemetry; going-first and going-second, matchup and brick rates are Inferred Usage-stat in_this_deck flags appear to count Main Deck only: Extra Deck cards Cyber Dragon Nova, Cyber Dragon Sieger, Heosvarog, Clockwork Knight, Sky Striker Ace - Azalea and Cyber Dragon Infinity are present in the Extra list but flagged in_this_deck false, so core_present_pct 64 is understated Meta Power Provisional without a dated metagame sample
